3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Palme (2234) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 16, 2013
0.33l bottle @ Henrik. This is a heavy cloudy deep dark plum red one with a islandy off-white head. Really caramelly and sticky on the nose. Lots of sweetness and some resinous hops. Marzipan and almonds are also present in this aroma. Need I mention that it’s on the sweet side of the scale? It has a mild oily mouthfeel and the carbonation level is about average. Nice flavors. It almost feels nutty bitter with lots of strong resinous hops. A strong malty base, caramel biscuits and "I want more" taste after the swallow. Ends light mouthdrying. Mhm, a good one. 08.03.2013
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Sigmund (4166) - Tau, NORWAY - MAY 5, 2013
330 ml bottle, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.8%. Dark amber colour, slightly hazy. Huge off-white head. Lovely aroma of fruity hops, tropical fruits galore, also notes of citrus and crushed gooseberries. The medium sweet flavour has also plenty of fruity and piney hops throughout, with a bitter finish. Crystal malts in the background.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jmgreenuk (1284) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 6, 2013
Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy, slightly reddish brown with a frothy white head. The aroma is hoppy and a little fruity. The flavour is all about the hops! It’s rich, sharp, medium to strong bitter and the floral hoppiness dominates. The palate and the aftertaste are rather smooth though which was a little unexpected.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Rangi (381) - NEW ZEALAND - MAR 9, 2013
Not one of the biggest tastiest ipa but a good beer. Pleasant aroma of citrus and grapes. Nice malt balance but lacking that full on flavour of an ipa that I’ve come to expect just a little watery and thin.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 daje (1291) - NORWAY - MAR 6, 2013
Bottle at Crowbar, january 8th 2013. Hazy dark orange body, lasting off white head. Looking good. Malty aroma, moderate hoppy with light fruit and grass. Mostly sweet malt though. Taste takes up a bit, with a more toned down caramel malt taste, still missing a bit of the hop presence I’d like an ipa to contain. Orange and pine finds its way in small doses. Bitterness on the low side of the scale, but surely pleasant enough. Aftertaste is sweet and fruity. An ok ipa, but not "bling" enough.

Shared bottle @ Patricks. Reddish amber body with a rather small off-white head. Aroma is fruity with pine and caramel malt. Quite strong in aroma. Flavor is sweet, caramel malt, fruit, berries and marmalade, moderate bitterness. Fine body and a sweet malty, fruity aftertaste where the bitterness becomes more obvious. Quite nice and rather malty IPA that lacks some bitterness but has an interesting flavor and a very nice aroma.
