Bridge Road Brewers have created their own take on a more traditional beer style - India Pale Ale, originally a heavily hopped beer developed for the long haul from England to India by boat. Fresh hops were added to the barrel and the alcohol was bolstered to ensure the beer went the distance on the high seas. Bling, is a huge beer, with all the bells and whistles. This ale is armed to the teeth with hops and studded with 24 carrot modified malts. At Bridge Road we’ve gone all out to make an IPA that screams hops and malt but still keeps balance in mind. Try matching this beer it with anything spicy or enjoy this malt and hop mouth full on its own. We love it, and hope you can too.

bottle from warners at the bay. lightly hazed golden with a lingering head; tropical fruit salad aroma; some pine resin, weis bars, decent hit of bitterness; still feels like it’s lacking a bit in oomph, though. will have to try the bling bling soon

Bottle. Fresh and fruity enough, with bold passionfruit and peach. Medium to high carbonation, but a little on the thin side. Decent sessional IPA.

Comes in a triple pack of 330ml bottles and a Spiegelau IPA glass. Looks great with a hazy copper-amber body and a large foamy off-white head that displays great retention and lace. Aroma is robust biscuity caramel malts with plenty of balancing citrus and pine resinous hops and this is transferred to the palate which is medium bodied and lively. Finish is resinous and bitter but not overpowering. Balanced and very enjoyable.

330 ml bottle into glass. Robust hop nose, a little malt as well. Copper beer with solid two finger white head. A few bubbles ascending. Bitter chalky mouthfeel. Even more bitter finish. Leaves a beautiful floral hop aftertaste. Very nice.

330ml bottle. Bottled 2/9/14. Pours a medium copper colour with a towering off white head which lasted well and left some excellent lacing. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, tropical fruit and malt. Aroma was quite intense on opening the bottle but in the glass shows some restraint. Medium bitterness and light to medium sweetness. Medium bodied, smooth and a gentle bitter finish. Very approachable. 8.

Pretty clean and standard ipa. More on the pale side if theres one. A nice hop aroma and the head poured well. Hint of pine and grassy flavour. No complaints

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2015 If you’re at a pub in Australia you might be lucky enough to find this in a bottle and break the lager boredom. decent IPA. Rerating on tap at the Durham, tap takeover. Nice solid IPA.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2015 Not sure why, but I’m not getting the "IPA" in this brew. It’s a good beer - but more of a double malty mild to my taste. Will look to try again though and update initial rating as required. Have done just that (tried again) and I still don’t get this beer. It is nice enough - but in no way an IPA (to my taste at least).
