Deep amber red with frothy cream coloured head.Hints of whiskey on the nose. Whiskey and burnt caramel on the front of palate creating a pleasantly bitter start leading into stronger malts and well balanced sweetness and long bitter sweet finish. Delicious autumn beer

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a deep reddish brown with a thin glass hugging head and no carbonation. The aroma is rich, fruity and of malt. The flavour is uber malty. It’s not a thick, rich beer, but you really feel as though you could chew the malt. There are some cherry notes on the palate too. This is like no other "red" I’ve ever tasted. It’s packed full of diverse flavours and deserves a better rating IMHO. The malty flavour did disappear fairly soon after it was poured though, so drink it quickly!

Appealing deep malty brown color, light tight head. Light malty aroma followed through in the mouth. Enjoyable malty flavor, somewhat nutty. I’m enjoying it in an Australian summer, would bee equally enjoyable in winter.

There is a strange tart bitterness that dominates this beverage and doesn’t seem to fit the description of what this beer describes itself as being. Appears pleasant red brown with thin white head. Slightly thinner in taste than expected. Bit of an average beer from these guys who usually produce some really awesome beverages.

Insipid boring beer. You get a hint of flavour then it disappears. Average.

From the tap at the brewery. Poured a deep red/brown with a small lasting head. Aroma of sweet malt. Soft, malty flavour with a fruity sour end note. Yes, it was served quite cold but to me that brought out the sweetness, maybe not "true to style" exactly but suitable for an Aussie summer. Not my favourite style but quite drinkable.

On tap at The Bended Elbow, Albury. Served a dark red color with a decent tan head that fades to good lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness, caramel, toffee and bit of grain and hops in the background. taste of roasted malt, some caramel sweetness and a hint of spice. Decent bitterness with a bit of lingering malt sweetness but still a clean finish. Fairly medium body, quite smooth, nice balance although it seems a bit too carbonated. Nice ale that goes down quite esay. Good for a few. Worth a try.

Caramel, almost nutty, rich full flavour, but definitely a session beer. Straight from the tap it is pure heaven in a glass.

Pours a dark red with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, caramel with some grass. Taste is also sweet with caramel and grass leadng to a slight hoppy finish. Not bad at all
