COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big chocolate, roasted and mocha notes are the key to this style. A wise country football coach once said “theres no point half doing something”. And in making this porter we’ve taken his advice on board, our Robust Porter uses plenty of roast barley and chocolate malt to give you a big porter that wont leave you asking for more.

Try this one with dark chocolate and liquorice. Bridge Roads Porter, like many of its beers, pulls no punches. Make no mistake, the Robust Porter is big and bold, yet its smooth raosty texture makes it one to convert the non-dark drinker. Match it with rich chocolate deserts, cold winter nights or freshly shucked oysters.

Enjoyable richly flavoured porter. Dark colour, light had, coffee tones without any burnt characters. Clan palate. Yum, try more.

Opaque black color, small beige head. Dry tobacco ash, vegetables in the nose. Light to medium bodied. Tobacco, some wood, light notes of vegetables. Too ashy for my liking.

Boldly brown beer with cinnamon coloured head which is nice and thick. Dark chocolate, espresso coffee and some herbs in the aroma. Roasted malts, chocolate and herb-like hop flavors in the end. Hints of espresso too. High carbonation but sadly thin body.

Poura black with a little white head. Aroma of dark, roasty maltiness, coffee, some licorice. Taste is dryish, very roasty; flavours of chocolate, coffee. Palate is medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Overall this porter is very tasty given the strength.

The aroma is a lot better than the taste, quite surprisingly. Dark and cigar box. The aftertaste doesn’t hold long. OK, but nothing special.
