28-Feb-2011 (Mrs Parma - tap) - Light cherry syrup, spiritous and some musty farmyard aromas, but a bit vege/urea but not unpleasant. Spirit warming, light cherry/rasberry flavour. Has a bit of a hot spirit finish and light spice fruity aftertaste. Nice try, but could do with a bit more refinement. Overall its a lovely fireside easy drinking wintery beer.

On tap at GABS St Kilda. Great beer. Aromas of apple, cherries, and caramel. Taste is sweet, with a touch of sourness, and good length. Palate is velvety, with a medium-to-full body. Brown, with a frothy head.

Tap at GABS. Reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is really grapey. Sweet caramel underneath lots of white fortified, a of bit herbal bitterness at the end. Some spirit notes. Barrel ate the beer with this one. Not that flash.

On tap at GABS, the Local Taphouse in Sydney. Pours a deep copper/red with a small off white head. Aromas of raspberry and medicine, quite syrupy. Flavours of medicinal cherry, toffee, wood and a sugary citrus. Not a fan, but at least they tried something different.
