COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bridge Road Brewers have created their own take on a more traditional beer style - India Pale Ale, originally a heavily hopped beer developed for the long haul from England to India by boat. Fresh hops were added to the barrel and the alcohol was bolstered to ensure the beer went the distance on the high seas. Bling, is a huge beer, with all the bells and whistles. This ale is armed to the teeth with hops and studded with 24 carrot modified malts. At Bridge Road we’ve gone all out to make an IPA that screams hops and malt but still keeps balance in mind. Try matching this beer it with anything spicy or enjoy this malt and hop mouth full on its own. We love it, and hope you can too.

Pours copper to brown color with a big and solid head. Aroma is malt, citrus fruits and a bit floral. Medium to heavy malty backbone with a taste of orange, brown sugar, a bit of pine. rather narrow, medium lasting bitterness. Good carbonation level. Overall a solid IPA with a faint floral touch.

Tap. Nice IPA, closer to the pale ale territory than IPA but I suppose it’s trying to compete with hop hog. It’s good, but not ’hop hog’ good.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Dark hazy amber pour - maybe too dark? Thick foamy, slightly yellowed head. Aroma is dank sweet fruity hops. Taste is big fruity and bitter hops. A bit muddled though - dank and bitter. Not bad though - lots of flavor, just seems to be missing some direction. Slightly vegetal finish. Tastes higher ABV than it is. Not bad but not great value here.

Poured from a 330 ml bottle into a IPA glass. Rich golden colour with a robust white head. Very hoppy, with citrus and pine coming through, with a malt balance and backbone. Extremely enjoyable.

Bottle. Poured into the Spiegelau glass that came with the beer, pours a nice golden colour with a solid 1 finger head. Aroma. Aroma of sweet and juicy fresh citrus. Taste. A strong pine flavour up front, followed by a nice mintiness. Overall. Quite a good beer full of flavour yet very mild at the same time, very unique for it’s kind.

From a bottle. A very well balanced beer, hops and malt in equal doses, the bitterness lingers on the palate but with a smooth malt finish. I like it.

Actually doesn't taste half as hoppy as its Bling Bling big brother. A bit tarter in the citrus taste. Not carbonated. Thick foam atop but laces. Mouthfeel is a bit sharper but it has an almost minty edge. Flicks back of the tongue with expected IPA finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange, darkish gold pour, persistent off white head. Malty, caramel, citrusy, pine, tropical fruit aromas. TAste is caramel, fruit, pine, orange brown sugar, sweetish, but piney, resiny bitterness cuts through. Tried this after sequential tasting of the single hop 4-pack - brings it all together nicely!
