4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 MJGG (782) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 21, 2012
Excellent !

The brewers have demonstrated in a beer exactly what it feels like to pick hops in the field
Delicious!

330mL bottle 2012 harvest, pours a clear almost straw colour but the aroma is amazing.. smells like fresh cut grapefruit/mandarin/orange wow. Those aroma’s really flow through to the flavour and they all mingle well, very low level of pale malt flavour and this makes the hops shine! i see so much potential for this hop.

There’s a lot of sweet citrus on the nose, followed by very earthy notes (almost like a stale bag of chips) and then a lot of resin at the finish. All up, the aroma it’s a bit unpleasant for my taste. In the mouth there’s some orange flavour with a fairly restrained hop presence and more of that yeasty earthiness. There’s little of the hoppy bitterness you’d expect from a beer that bills itself as being hopped to the hilt, and it finishes a little short.

A citrus smelling beer with a lemon/lime feeling about it. Looks fine and had a good head. Really enjoyed and is a great summer session beer.

Slightly cloudy yellow with lasting head. Strong hop nose, tropical fruits and citrus, pleasant bitterness in the taste, drinks well though a touch more body would do the trick.

Had this on tap at the Wheatsheaf, Adleaide througha hopinator stuffed with an experimantal Australian hop. the aroma was big, herbal and fruity hop character with some quite complex floral notes too. A clean, quite pale in colour beer with the added hop hit from the hopinator. Nicely done!

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2011 Very surprised by this one’s rating. Aroma is fantastic. Lots of tropical fruits. Lychee, passionfruit, citrus. Less fruits in the flavour but still a little bit there, hops play a small role. Light pale malts back the beer. Much better than some are letting on to be

330ml bottle. Golden bright amber colour with a large thick white head that is deep like fresh snow. Aroma of freshly picked oranges and mandarins with a piney backdrop from the hop cones. Zingy and zesty in the mouth.
