Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy yellow with a white head. Somewhat herbal aroma. Medium body, carbonation is a little much. Some chestnut accents although not as distinct as in French chestnut varities. No bitterness whatsoever. 100912

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured out gold 8ºSRM.
Nose has some clean beery aromas. Light pine.
Mouthfeel is beery. Lightly carbonated and light. Palate has pale malt, waterchestnut sweetness, like the local waterchestnut beverage. No hops except for vague wood-like astringency at the end.
Finish is light and beery.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Poured a crystal clear pale golden colour with a one- to two-finger bright white foamy head that retained very well and laced well. Carbonation very high with medium sized bubbles. Aroma of sweetish malt and no obvious hops. Taste of slightly sweet malt and a hint of nuts and no hops bitterness. Light body. Crisp, smooth, clean and refreshing with a very lager-like finish. More a lager than a pilsner.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Bridge Road, pours a cloudy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a touch of grassiness. Flavour is crisp, with maybe some of the toasted chestnuts upfront. Dry biscuity finish. Not the most interesting but it’s clean.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Murky, light straw colour with no head. Looks terrible. Peach, apricot, almond and chestnut aromas. Simplistic but refreshing stone fruit, citrus flowers, a hint of nutiness and a cleansing earthy hop bitterness. A flavoursome Pilsner, good for drinking cold and in multiples.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light orange. Sweet grain with a bit of chestnut in the aroma. Light chestnut, grain, sweet toasty malts odd and interesting.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Hazy light yellow with a small and frothy white head. The aroma carries some citrus and grassy hop character with toasted malt notes. Flavour is fairly sweet malt, grassy, citrus. Low level of bitterness. Decent but not what I’d hoped for.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Great that the nut comes through on first sense. The creamy, nutty texture comes through on taste too. Definitely malty that gives a hint of peanut butter. Beautiful in mouthfeel and a low impact but refreshing end. Be nice beer early in dinner party/BBQ. 5.0%. 1.3std dr. 330ml.

Bottle. And an old one at that. Not my favourite bridge road, I didn’t get much of the chestnuts but I’ll have to try again fresh.
