COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a celebration of our 4th birthday! The Oak Aged Imperial Porter has been dry hopped to the hilt and packaged into our big fancy 750ml bottles. The beer was aged in some red wine barrels that were sourced from Beechworth’s renowned Giaconda winery. After some time they we transferred back into stainless steal tanks for two weeks to be dry hopped. Allowing the aromatic hop characters to slowely find their way into the brew. The resulting brew is an overdone porter with big roasty and chocolate layers which are overtaken by a mid pallet explosion of fruity hops.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours an opaque pitch black with a dense light brown head. Hard roast aroma with a tart edge. Medium body, the woody tartness dominates atop the heavy roast. I don’t really pick up the dry hopping. Ends tart and somewhat oxidized. 180911

Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Black, lasting tan head. Bit of staleness I guess this was left over from when Kook was last over, so not exactly fresh.

Opaque black beer with a good tan head. Light palate - very soft and airy. Tangy and very lightly smoky. A little sour fruit underneath. Nice.

Bottled@The Chriso rock the roof down pre-GBBF tasting. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is wood, liquorice, mild roasted notes as well as some toffee. Flavour is similar in a nice balance and also has some quite strong spirity notes. Wellbalanced and quite brutal.
