3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Lovely. By far the nicest of the Bridge Road Single Hop beers. The aroma is a mix of melon, citrus, resin and even some spearmint. In the mouth, the Ella has a very pleasant sweetness that helps offset the tart citrus taste. Very nice. Just what you want in an IPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Orange gold pour with thin head, much like the others in this series. Apricot, floral aroma, malt also peeks through. MAlt underneath, more so than the others in the series; hp flavours are a little more delicate - floral, citrus. Quite dry finish, bitterness persists nicely

Chocolate and floral aroma. A bit of metallic finish to the bitterness, but a long finish at that.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml bottle. Pours a deep golden colour with a tight white head that clings to the glass. The aroma is delicate mix of floral, pine, citrus with some tropical fruit. The malt profile has taken the back seat but lends the right amount of malty, caramel tastes. Mouth feel is smooth with a small amount of lingering sweetness that is not too overpowering. A great beer to sit and enjoy on a summer evening.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAR 18, 2014 Bottle from Slowbeer (previously known as Stella IPA). Bright mid-amber, tight white head, floral, tropical fruit aroma, dusty, mild bitterness, bready malt, some residual sweetness. Quite good.
Re-rated March 2014: Quite a lot more pine characters, higher bitterness, less sweet, strong grapefruit/pine aromas. Liked it better now.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
330ml bottle. Pours an orange amber colour, foamy off-white head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of malt, pine, citrus abit sour. Taste is malt, with lemony citrus and pine bitterness plus some yeasty, nutty notes. Light to medium bodied, well carbonated, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable IPA.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Great hop aromas with immediate highly hopped bitterness then a slight and pleasant sweetness indicating a large amount of malt to offset the hops. The palate fades quite quickly though into a relatively hollow end considering the large amount of hops. Nice flavours though and very interesting tasting the single hop although perhaps a reason for the short finish
