Our single hop IPA highlights the character of a locally grown hop variety, Galaxy.

We have added generous amounts of whole hop flowers to this brew, both in the kettle and the conditioning tank. Galaxy, itís out of this world!

330ml bottle. Hazy amber with a thick dense white head. Aroma is big on passionfruit as befits the single use of Galaxy hops but there are also piney and grapefruit notes on top of a caramel malt base. Flavour has light malts and a firm lingering bitterness. Palate is light-medium bodied with average carbonation and oily mouthfeel. An education in Australian hops!.

Pours a cloudy orange yellow with a firm foamy white head. Very aromatic with loads of pine and passionfruit, some astringent grapefruit. The taste is a little disappointing however, as the aromas are not followed through in the flavour. The galaxy doesnít quite add enough bitterness to make it a well balanced IPA, causing the taste to be largely malt flavour and fruit aroma driven. There is something evidently missing from this beer, but if itís purpose was to showcase the properties of the galaxy hop, the brewers have succeeded

Straw yellow poor with a superb fluffy white head. Aroma of strong tropical and passion fruit. Crisp full flavour. Taste is nice and bitter. Great beer with some full on aroma distinctive to the galaxy hop.

Bottle. Definitely the second best of the beer school pack. Very fruity, reminds me of stone and wood pacific ale (not surprisingly given the hop).

From a bottle. Pours orange with a lasting coarse white head, resin on the palate, crisp flavours with a very mild pepper aftertaste. Full bodied and strong, itís a great IPA and the galaxy hops are awesome.

There might be one hop but the Cascade has a kick. Grassy first on the nostrils but has taste of orange. Hops give it nice edge. Grapefruit and malt pushing its way through. A sugar burst 3/4 through. Lot of remembrance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange gold pour, thin head. pine and tropical fruit aromas. Taste is mild pine, mango, malt. Easy drinking, so far my favorite of their single hop IPAs

bottle - part of a 4 pack of australian hopped beers. pale amber with a thin white head; loads of tropical fruit in the aroma, predominantly mango and some pine forest dirt; some juicy fruit sweetness, modest bitterness. pretty enjoyable as with the others in the series

Bottle. Pours a Murky Orange, similar to other single hop ipaís in this series. Aroma. Pine needle aroma along with some tropical fruits. Taste. Similar to aroma, piney taste with some slight tropical flavours and very little bitterness. Overall. Normally i like a bit more bitterness in an ipa, but the lack of that seems to work in this beer.
