COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our single hop IPA highlights the character of a locally grown hop variety, Galaxy.

We have added generous amounts of whole hop flowers to this brew, both in the kettle and the conditioning tank. Galaxy, it’s out of this world!

(Bottle, 0.33 l - Single Hop Series - 4.8 % ABV, at Punavuoren Ahven, 20131025) The beer poured amber and quite clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, spices, mild herbalness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, spices, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, malty and bitter. A balanced but a bit musty beer.

33 cl bottle @ O’Hara’s Freehouse, Tampere.
Pours clear golden-copper color with a small head. Aroma is quite fruity and hoppy, some orange zest and caramel malts also. Flavour is a bit too malty for my taste, caramel, resinous hops and hay, mild nuts and goose berries on the finish. Bitter malty palate. Nice aroma but too malty and nutty taste.

330ml bottle (Hilpea Hauki, Helsinki)
Slightly hazy orange, tight bready head. Huge tropical fruit aroma, peach and melon. some gingery caramel too. Floral body, perfumey retronasals. Quite easy drinker, sweetish malts, tons of tropical fruit. Fades a bit quickly, sweetish malts, but hops disappear quickly, almost no bitterness. A bit too easy, a bit too throwaway.

Bottle from Plonk. Bright mid-amber, tight white head, fruity, citrusy, piney hops, typical Galaxy, well balanced with sugary sweetness, slightly grainy, medium bitterness, medium body with long bitter finish. Very nice.

Bottle at Crowbar. Clear amber, medium head. Hoppy and citrussy. In the mouth also hints of buttery caramel, but remaining on the bitter side. Slightly disappointing.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a cloudy orange-yellow beer with a bitter citrus and grapefruit flavour with peppery and woody notes on the finish.

M_Sack (352) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 6, 2013
Hazy golden colour with frothy head after slightly exploding out of bottle. Immediate aroma of pine and grapefruit and perhaps a slight hint of malt. Pine and grapefruit flavours which lead into a bone dry and bitter mid palate, ending with a very subtle malt back note. Pleasant mouthfeel but a rather hollow flavour profile most probably due to only one hop variety being used. The least enjoyable of the single hop beers but an important part of a very interesting experience.
