For more info on this hop - hops.com.au/products/australian_varieties/stella. Tap. Big tropical fruit nose with a bit of cat piss. Smooth body with solid bitterness and a bit of passionfruit on the finish. I am now wondering if I was served the Galaxy single hop IPA instead of the Stella. Will have to re rate, as the commercial description is more noble than new world.

330ml Bottle. Fantastic hop aroma. good balance of malt and hops, where you can taste bits of both and finishes with a lingering bitterness.

Bottle 33 cl, Slowbeer. Pours cloudy copper amber with a decent off white head leaving lacing. Aroma is hoppy, citric, fruity, mango, malty, piny and grapefruit. Flavor is bitter, piny, resiny, greapefruit, dry, malty and has some sweetness towards the end. Finishes longlived bitter and dry.

330ml bottle. There is a fairly big fluffy head in the initial pour with soem lacing left as it settles. Golden amber in colour with some haziness. Looks inviting in the glass and the big punchy citrus hop aromas as to the anticipation and expectation. Passionfruit and peach also play a role in the fruitiness of the aroma. Zippy and zesty in the mouth with that dry mouth puckering flavour that a good IPA has. Probably one of the best beers that I have had from Bridge Road, stella in every way.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden bronze with decent cream coloured head. Aromas of tropical fruit and a little bubblegum and a little light caramel. Flavours shows a little light sweet caramel and a decent whack of resiny hops on the finish. Decent bitter finish. Good beer for the abv.

Pours a nice light copper and no where near the aroma of the galaxy single hop, a slight hint of passionfruit?..Has a very light flavour also decent bitterness and ok malt backing. Overall its could be better.

Served up just on cool. Big old yeast pack was hard to keep settled in the bottle so a careful, albeit excited pour left a good lot of beer behind. Head was rampant to fill out the rest of the glass and raise a plume out the lip that held well. The body has a lot of fine streams pushing endlessly upwards, a slightly hazy orange amber. Bitter, underripe grapefruit, liquorice root, peach, candied strawberry and sticky, warm toffee nose, well pronounced and on a sweeter tip, with just a hint of bready yeast. Biting through the acridly bitter head was a little unsettling but worth it to reach the beer below. Creamy in mouthfeel, quite light and spritzy upfront. Big wads of hops fill out the mouth. There is spicy aniseed and a herbaceous quality held behind notes of strawberry, honeydew and a lot of grapefruit not unlike its aroma. Not too bitter, in fact tamer than expected, the typified piney notes are in high gear lending a woody dryness to the swallow and linger. Mild floral perfume and candied fruit notes also hang around after each sip. Malts flavours are soft, but it has a great fusion of flavour to hold balance and a well deserved complexity. This showcases this hop fantastically but is oddly nothing like the product description (hop for use in lagers with pronounced Noble hop characteristics!) I’ve got to get hold of some for the coming Summer for test-drive in some golden ales. A very enjoyable, very quaffable IPA, and a great intro for me with this Aussie hop! From a 330ml bottle on 6/11/2011. Pours a slightly cloudy orange with a big thick head. Has a strong, lovely fruity, floral aroma with lots of passionfruit and some lychee. Flavour wise you get a light caramel malt background with a big, lingering grapefruit hop bitterness. Up till now, Bridge Road beers have generally failed to impress me but I like this one. Can’t believe it’s only 4.8%.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a cloudy straw yellow with a small white head. Mass amounts of passionfruit, blood orange and grapefruit on the nose, very tropical. Less in the taste. Grapefruit and only a tluch of bitterness. Solid single hop. Enjoyed this one

Grapefruit seems to be the main character coming across in the taste for me. Good bitterness, medium body.
