4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Surprised by the low ratings on this one. It’s a drier stout, and perhaps a bit thinner than expected. But still quite nice. The chocolate and cherry notes are well done -- chocolate in perfect balance, and maybe just a hint too much cherry, but not overly so. The cherry does contribute a nice cloy sweetness that balances the dryness. Base stout is slightly roasty, but not overly meaty. This is relatively complex, and pretty good indeed.

2.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Toast, cherries, roastiness. Pours ruby black with a thick dark tan head that fades fairly quickly leaving minimal residue. Dark toast. Watery mouthfeel. Faint hint of cherry sweetness. I got very little chocolate. A little harsh on the finish. It smelled and looked so good and then it was just kind of disappointing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours like syrup and comes out opaque black with a tan head. Weak chocolaty aroma. Chocolate with a bit of tart cherry and a bitter coffee finish, but overall weak flavors. Thick and heavy bodied.

Bomber poured into a goblet. Dark brown pour with a slight tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, a bit of sweet cherry. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, maraschino cherries, sugar, vanilla. Dry, but artificially sweet. Kind of stale.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber. Roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate and some coffee as well as a bit of cherry, but very weak. Pours black with a decent light brown head with good retention and some lacing. Starts out with strong roasted malt flavors but not overpowering with a hint of coffee and a slick mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with the sweetness of the chocolate really coming through followed closely by some cherry flavors that lingered on the palate. Pretty good stout, but needed more cherry.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft. Up front it is chocolatey wiht a hint of cherry and on the back end a very metallic finish. The metallic finish ruins it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle. Pours almost black with an average tan head. Aroma of malt and chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, and some cherry. Think it needed more cherries in the mix. Still, a nice Stout.

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown black with a medium creamy tan head that goes to a thin film that retains well and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet grainy baking chocolate with some cherry.
The flavor is sweet chocolate malt with lots of tart cherries and light roast. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, decent sweet cherry chocolate beer.
