2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Pours a dark amber with a brown hue. Dense creamy off-white head. Some lacing. Aroma of toffee and biscuit malt. Taste of light caramel and burnt toast. Not much hop character. Finish is too balanced as nothing really stands out.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is a pretty good brown, hoppier than most, and more aggressive choice of hops. Dominantly sweet, however, mostly brown sugar and toffee. Attractive brown appearance with a decent head.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice. Fairly mild. Really easy to drink. Not an extreme beer but it is a pretty good example of the style. Good balance of malty roast and sweetness.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Moderate brown, ruby hues, moderate light beige head, spritzy, spotty lacing.   Malty nose, a little mealy, slight cocoa notes.   Certainly light on any hop aspect.   Pretty malty, a little mealy, some
cereal, with very little bitterness.   Decent, a good beginners Brown.   Very light on the exit, clean, with some minor mealy notes.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, perhaps nearing the thing side.   Wow, quick finish.
Not much there.   Certainly a light beer for the style, no hop bitterness and light on the tongue.   Wished it was a bit bigger, but as is it probably appeals to most of those who would usually drink BMC.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Clear amber-brown with a small head. The aroma is doughy with toasty, nutty malt and toffee. Sweet with a little nutty malt and almost no hops. Hint of bread-crust in the finish, along with just a touch of bitterness. Medium-light on the tongue with good carbonation. A very newcastle-veined brown ale; lacking the roast and darker malts in more assertive browns. Nothing really off about it, but just not very interesting or flavorful.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with ditmier. Pours a clear amber with a large tan head that lasted through three-quarters of the glass and left partial lace. Very mild, in fact barely noticeable aroma of malt and not much else. The flavor is weak watered down malt followed by mixed vegetables. Medium bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Pretty forgettable.

3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark reddish, nice color for a brown ale. Small head. Mild, ordinary aroma. Really nice sweetness, good amount of hops to match. Don’t taste the advertised chocolate (which happens to be just fine with me). Not bad at all.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Rich brown pour, light lacing, sour hops, watery, blah, I was a little excited as I usually really like Brown Ales. I was sorely disappointed.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bridgeport sixers are on sale for $5.49 at the local and I was about to grab some IPA as it is my old standby but I thought "Why not try something new?" Nice brown-red color with a very helathy, foamy head. The smell is at first has a similar component to the IPA so maybe that is the yeast but its followed by a distinct malt smell. Nothing too special but still good. Nutty, brown flavor that is about average for a brown. Not sweet like Newcastle but actually has a bitterness. This would be an interesting

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
2009 Bottle - Pours a dk amber with a small tan head...aroma is toasty, nutty and dry malty...flavous is suprisingly astringent, bitter malt and bitter hop, not a great balance...bitterness pretty much takes front and center, and makes it hard to notice much else...fair amout of grain, pretty forgetable...
