hopdog (4950), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 25, 2007 12oz bottle. Poured a medium and clear brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of toasted nuts and caramel. Tastes of basically the same. BückDich (4618), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 9, 2007 Bottle: Pellucid mahogany, creamy tan head, light lacing. Nose of light toast and vague spicy hop notes. The flavor is moderate bodied with a little fig and caramel bread. Thin finish, no cohesion and a ho-hum overall appeal. Nice body though. acrdz (4535), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. Clear cola and walnut brown colored body with a tan head. Nose is maple malt and brown sugar, light notes of toast, and a small lactic yeast note. Crisp and wet flavor, crusty toasted grains, wet bread, some walnut flavored toasted bread... decent enough for a brown ale but nothing to see here either... Ernest (4322), Boulder, Colorado, USA Mar 6, 2007 Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (nuts, caramel, toasted bread), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Clearly made for carefree easy-drinking. A basic, cookie-cutter rendition. Nothing wrong, but nothing much of interest either.
