NWHopHead99 (58), Tacoma, Washington, USA Feb 21, 2002 Before I was a HopHead, this was my beer. Perhaps one of the smoothest transitions to a great NW hoppy beer. Bridgeport gets high marks from me for consistently great, paletable ales!
Sleeper (76), Washington, USA Oct 27, 2008 Smells faint hops, a little apple... But thats just my nose. Orange copper in color. Taste is up front bitter and toasty. This is very clean. anders37 (2981), Malmö, Sweden Oct 16, 2008 Draught @ Bridgeport Brewing. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty and slightly grainy flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty finish with some hints of hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. dkoonce (753), People’s Republic of Athens, Ohio, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear amber, with a thick cream colored head. Rich malt aroma, with slight raw grain note, Dry, with a raw flavor that is not unpalatable. Very little hop note. BiddleBrau (168), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 21, 2008 Golden with off-white head leaving lacing. Faint malt aroma. Slight hop bite but disappaites, minimal malt profile, slightly creamy. Nothing outstanding but a clean finish
HoppyGuy (111), USA Jul 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours a nice amber color with a three-quarters inch beige head that hangs around for a while. Aroma is a bit faint, and is of hops and floral hints. Flavor is not very hoppy at all, yet not too malty. Fruity flavor, some citrus. Overall, not a bad beer, but not bold (hoppy) enough to be classified as a pale ale, at least for me. Still, I like it. I’d like to pair this brew with shrimp scampi, garlic mashed potatoes and a spinach salad.
