Very dark pour. Taste is weak coffee and earth. Smooth, malty finish. Decent, but not great.

Very dark with a lasting head. Smells of fresh ground coffee beans. Medium nectar with excellent carbonation. Heavily roasted and totally dry this brew makes for a nice cup of java at the end of the day.

Tastes like coffee, I don’t like my beer to taste like coffee. So, screw you.

Bottled. Poured quite deep brown with a tall, creamy dark tan head. The aroma picked up moderately-roasted coffee and nutty malts, with earth and a little burnt malt beneath.. enjoyable stuff. The flavor found burnt coffee, molasses, and a touch of honey at the core.. ashy roast and coffee bitterness and sourness surrounded.. finished dry and grainy, with more coffee grounds than anything else. Medium-bodied at most on the palate, with a lot of coffee and a lot of roast.. just a decent feel and flow.. overall a solid drinker.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium, lasting, beige head, over a dark brown (SRM 35) body....nose is light coffee, bit of chocolate, cereal, smidgen of toffee.....taste is heavy coffee, bit of chocolate, bit of toffee/caramel, finishing bitter....mouth feel medium, carbonation also. The coffee dominates over much. It is just a coffee, flavored dark beer. The other ingredients are almost hidden. BJCP 7/3/10/4/6

I love coffee beers so I am looking forward to this one. The beer pours a very dark brown to black color with a tan head. The aroma is heavy on the coffee with some roasted malt. One of the heavier coffee smelling beers that I have tried. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of coffee, but I also get some bitter, roasted malt and a little bit of chocolate mixed in. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice coffee beer but not one of the better ones I have tried.

Pours black with thick creamy tan head and foamy lacing. Pleasant notes of roasted coffee and chocolate. There’s a bit of an off-taste. It’s not really bitter, but the sweetness of the malt is lost in the coffee, leaving a sort of blandness. It is smooth and creamy on the palate.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is coffee herbal and dark roasted malt. Bitter, dark roasted malt and solid coffee herbal to caramelish. Rather dry and bitter finish. Lasting coffee impression into the far finish.
