12oz Bottle pours out a nice brown topped with a tan head. Aroma was of coffee, sweet chocolate, malts, and some roast. Taste was more of the coffee, choclate, and a nice roast malt. Much better than I was expecting.

Bottle shared by a friend. Pours darkest brown with a thin beige head. Coffee aroma with some chocolate malt and more coffee. Flavor is coffee and malt with some chocolate before a coffee finish. Pretty straightforward, but not bad.

12 oz bottle into English pint. Pours almost black with a thin beige head. Aroma is nice and strong coffee, bread and a vague unpleasant off-note (cooked vegetables?) that’s not offensive enough to bring the aroma score down too much. Taste is sweet and a bit sour. Carbonation is medium-high, body is medium, mouthfeel is creamy. I like it, but it’s not on the same caliber as the Mt. Shasta Shastafarian Porter I had right before this.

Bottled. A dark red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, roasted malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, roasted malt, and bread, leading to a dry roasted and coffee finish.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown/black appearance with a dark brown head. Quite roasty dark coffee, a touch of chocolate sweetness, and dark malts in the nose. Very roasty, dark coffee, chocolate, dark malty flavor with a fair amount of bitterness.
