I really think this got the bad side of the coffee here. Just a dry cocoa aftertaste, not very rewarding. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a Mahoney brown with a small tan head and some lacing present. Strong coffee taste but not a pleasing coffee flavor. Will not buy again. Real Ale's Coffee Porter is much better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mid size beer with a lot of character. Very dark brown liquid tan foam. Dark roasted coffee aromas and fruity pepper, chile flavors. Easy non bitter finish some viney hop character, herbal. Very interesting and probably versatile with food, holding up to richer roasted flavors and fine with desserts too.

Served on draft at Thirsty Monk South. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and faint caramel. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied.

Dark brown, decent head. Aroma of roasted coffee with flavors of chocolate, coffee, and toffee. Seems to hide the coffee well since Porter often carries flavors similar to coffee and chocolate.

12oz from Armanettis single section. Really a pretty good coffee porter. Dark brown pour with an off-white head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, and more coffee. Taste is dark malts, a little roasted, and great coffee flavor. Coffee finish.

bottle from justin 1/31/11. typical porter color with a small tan head. the aroma is full on buttery coffee beans... mixed with roast, ashiness and pepper-like vegetals. the flavor is the same but with added notes of choco, lactose and a touch of sourness on the finish. the mouth feel is on the thin side. 6/3/6/2.5/14/3.15

Pours dark brownish black with tan head, aroma brings notes of coffee, roast, some chocolate, dark fruit, some slight toffee as well. Taste is nice coffee forward roast, with some sweet chocolate, toffee and dark fruit notes, finishing fairly bitter. Pretty nice brew.
