COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true Winter Warmer made in homage of the season: Full-bodied and rich, deep amber in color, crowned with a creamy head, and finished with a mild bitter flush.

Reddish-brown pour with a thin, tan head. The aroma is somewhat spicy with earthy notes as well. It has a full body with thick texture and lively carbonation. The taste is bitter and slightly roasted with a dry finish.

a nice start but iffy finish. kind of light taste. subtle fruit notes. distant like a dream. Iím watching the expendables sequel as I sip this.

Enjoyed on tap at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago, IL prior to seeing the band Surfer Blood. I didnít take tasting notes while enjoying this, but I remember this being a lightly spiced, slightly malty ale that went down nice and easy. Definite caramel notes, just a decent brew.

Aroma is mint, light pine and fruit. The flavor is caramel, complex fruit, spices, a small hint of vegetables and a tart and dry finish.

12oz bottle. Murky amber-brown body. Foamy off-white head. Toffee, amber malt tones, some Christmas fruitcake/wassail action. Itís not really a great beer by any mean, but it manages to approximate the style well enough. Rich and malty, a spiced ESB.

Sweet, slight metal, bready malt, caramel, light spice. It is a decent brew but very metallic to me.

Murky Brown, Huge Head, Lots of Lacing. Moderately Sweet Malt, Light Pine aftertaste that does not last long. When you think of a winter brew, this one is too thin and not sweet enough to be one. Nevertheless a decent brew that Iíve enjoyed it this cold spring evening.

A - Pours a hazy dark orange brown. 1 finger of tan head. S - Dark malts, candied oranges, faint cinnamon apple. Unkown fruits. I had to really try and find anything in the nose. Overall the aroma was pretty subdued. T - Spicy wheat breadiness, a good amount of toasted toffee malt, spiced oranges, over-ripened red grapes. Good hop presence. Has a soft spice blend that I couldnít quite pick out. M - Moderate carbonation, light to medium body. Nice malt flavors but a very faint nose on this one. Drinks very easy and finishes dry. Seems a bit thin for a Winter Warmer but a tasty beer nonetheless. I would get this again. Serving type: on-tap 12-08-2010

12oz bottle pours clear amber with copper hues and supporting a weak tan head. The aroma offers up lots of prunes and raisins and then a bit of fig like sweetness. The taste is similar as I get a raisin note that borders on peppery along with some softer prune notes in the background. To midway it picks up some candi sugar and a faint beat quality.

Pours a clear ruby red with a thick, white head. It has an aroma of pine and dry-roasted, browned malt (although not too roasted/caramelised, just lightly). It tastes like alcohol and pine. I get a little bit of the dry malt taste at the end followed by bitterness, but the alcohol and pine at the beginning predominate. Not a horrible beer, and one I might drink again, but I canít say Iíd go out of my way to get it either.
