Nice strong ale, good to keep you warm in the winter. Slightly bitter malty drink, with good name.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This seasonal brew is somewhat fruity up front followed quickly by strong effervescence and the a long crisp after taste. I liked it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours copper with about two fingers white head. Smell is light, cinnamon and a bit of cloves. Taste is winter spices, mint, earthy. Very watery palate. Not the best winter ale, not a fan.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A - pours hazy reddish brown with two fingers off white head that laces well.
S - Aromas of black tea leaves, woodiness, and coffee up front. Hints of cinnamon and spruce as well.
M - creamy mouth feel from medium bodied brew. average carbonation.
T - subtle tastes. Black tea (unsweetened sun tea) comes on first. Hints of wood, coffee, and spruce as well.
O - average winter ale. drinklable, but feels more like tea than a winter ale.
brownish red with two fingers of light tan almost off white head, pretty decent lacing. The nose is pretty mild, a little fruit and some spice. The taste is more spice forward, Iím having a hard time putting my finger on it but I do get a little cinnamon, there are also some medicinal flavors in there. Medium carbonation medium body. Overall not that bad but nothing Iíd go looking for. I do suppose this is a very aproachable winter warmer.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma is caramel malt, mineraly. Appearance is dull brown with hint of red, a bit hazy. Small tan head. Taste is caramel biscuit forward with a hint of roast. Some cinnamon. Bit of herbal. Palate is medium, a herbal bitterness lingers. Kinda heavy, lays flat. Overall drinkable. Not my favorite.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Handsome rust amber colour with a finger-thick golden crown that leaves a little lace. Nose is surprisingly muted, with caramel notes struggling to rise out of the glass. I poured four of these and they were all alike. Flavor is tea and toffee, with astringent herbal rooty bitterness in the finish. After having recently had Old Fezziwig and Jubelale (on draught, no less), this cannot compare.
