COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true Winter Warmer made in homage of the season: Full-bodied and rich, deep amber in color, crowned with a creamy head, and finished with a mild bitter flush.

Not a bad winter beer. Deep amber with a nice thick head. Rich and malty with a good grassy hop balance. Has a nice spicy body.

Brownish-red and hazy, good one finger head and fairly good lacing. Spicy and hoppier than Iíd expect from a winter warmer, a bit earthy with a touch of solvent like notes. Spicy again on the taste, caramel malts, floral and earthy hops, a tinge of alcohol. Body is pretty full and mildly bitter on the finish, with some residual caramel malt flavor. Overall itís a decent winter warmer. Not my favorite, but good enough for inclusion in a mixed twelvesky.

Humbug! Actually pretty good, though given the name I expected something bolder. Or at least involving some Christmas ghosts. Warm malts with some underlying hoppy bitterness. Some spice on the finish.

Bottle offering. Deep auburn coloured. Aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and cooked fruits. Flavorful and tasty with notes of spice and molasses. A very tasty winter brew.

12 ounce bottle. Hereís a good example of how some beers sit in tough company within a style category. Itís a hot copper color with a decent amount of bubble action and a light layer of foam and lacing on the glass. The flavor is cinnamon and pumpkin spice. The aroma is negligible, and the mouthfeel is medium. In all, this is a mild, warm, and soothing beverage. Yet, with holiday spiced beers, the competition is stiff and this one is only average because it lacks a distinctive character. I bought this as a $1.69 component of a mix six, and while itís not an allstar, itís a solid, economical member of a late fall lineup.

Bottle - Pours deep rosy brown with a thin tan head. Nose is dark malty bread, a bit of dark fruit, light spicing, and an annoying plastic note. Surprisingly, itís not very pungent in the taste, I was expecting something a little more bold, but itís mostly just subdued breadiness with some corn and yeast and a little spicy bitterness on the finish. The plastic is gone thankfully., but it does leave a mouth-coasting yeasty aftertaste, Medium bodied and well-carbonated, this is a weird beer.

Brouwerij (942) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 12, 2012
Pours a deep hazy amber with two fingers of rocky white head, mostly diminishing with some lacing. Aromas is sweet malt, bread, grass and fruit. Flavor is sweet and malty up front, then hints of fruit, apples and pear. Finishes mild malt and slightly bitter. Moderate carbonation and relatively light body. Drinkable and enjoyable, but not particularly complex.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2014 Bomber. Caramel malt aroma with notes of hops and a bit of spice. Pours dark amber colored with about a finger of tan head and some lacing. Starts with strong caramel malt flavors with subtle hoppy undertones. Finishes dry but smooth with hops and slight spice characters before being enveloped again by the sweet caramel malt that lingers on the palate. Nice winter warmer.
