Flavor is sweet and malty up front, then hints of fruit, apples and pear. Finishes mild malt and slightly bitter. Moderate carbonation and relatively light body. Drinkable and enjoyable, but not particularly complex.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Lighter bodied than I was expecting for a winter beer. Poured from a bottle lighter in color than expected. I'm used to "winter" beers being thick and heavy. This is not. The aroma screamed west coast to me. I specifically smelled and tasted Chinook as flavor/aroma hops. Chinook in a winter warmer? Yes, my friend, BridgePort succeeds. Light is body, and hop character is moderately strong with the bitterness as low. This beer is not thick and syrupy, but crisp and dry. I get plum character in it. Very nice. I need to make a "winter warmer" like this.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle. Hereís a good example of how some beers sit in tough company within a style category. Itís a hot copper color with a decent amount of bubble action and a light layer of foam and lacing on the glass. The flavor is cinnamon and pumpkin spice. The aroma is negligible, and the mouthfeel is medium. In all, this is a mild, warm, and soothing beverage. Yet, with holiday spiced beers, the competition is stiff and this one is only average because it lacks a distinctive character. I bought this as a $1.69 component of a mix six, and while itís not an allstar, itís a solid, economical member of a late fall lineup.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle - Pours deep rosy brown with a thin tan head. Nose is dark malty bread, a bit of dark fruit, light spicing, and an annoying plastic note. Surprisingly, itís not very pungent in the taste, I was expecting something a little more bold, but itís mostly just subdued breadiness with some corn and yeast and a little spicy bitterness on the finish. The plastic is gone thankfully., but it does leave a mouth-coasting yeasty aftertaste, Medium bodied and well-carbonated, this is a weird beer.
