3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of chickencoop. Reviewed from notes.
Pours a medium brown with a thin, off white head. The nose brings a small amount of spice forward. I think Iím getting cinnamon and nutmeg, but never entirely sure. I really need to start having these beers with my spice rack nearby. A bit of caramel and toffee in there as well. Taste is a bit of doughy bread with light caramel and some spice. Light to medium body with good carbonation levels. Not at all overspiced, this drank pretty well.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brown orange cloudy color with off white head. Mild aroma with yeast, nuts and a slight metalic note. Palate is medium bodied with a slight metalic pilsner feel to the beer. Candied fruit feel to the beer. Not my favorite christmas choice.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Cavie. Reddish pour with a small white head. Aroma is spiced, a little roasty, and nuts. Taste is baking spices, a little caramel, moss, and molasses. Spices come way out in the finish in a way that I donít really like.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Whip-In. Pours a slightly hazy maroon brown with a large off-white head. Smells of spicy fruit, sharp malts and some wheat tones. There is a large bit of fruity tartness in this. Flavor is earthy malts and grains. Tastes of soil and a bit of sugary spice. Leafy finish with some slight bitterness to boot.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. brown bottle. A reddish brown beer with a quickly fading head. The aroma is sweet, candied fruit, molasses and almost seems spicey(not chili spice). The taste is sweet at first, candy like, molasses. The mouthfeel is medium thick.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured hazy reddish-amber with a sticky beige head. Caramel, chocolate, and iced tea on the nose with highlights of cloves and light detergenty notes. The flavor found deeper, aged caramel, molasses, and iced tea at the core.. spicy black pepper, clove, and nutmeg accents.. sweeter, nutty finish. Medium-bodied with just OK flow across the palate.. balance was solid. This was quite drinkable, but not great.

Ebenezer Ale has a great malty/caramel aroma. Taste is almost identical with rich flavors in every sip. There wasnít much carbonation which makes this beer perfect for winter relaxation.
