Aroma is quite strong, mainly spicy and slightly sweet, and has an evergreen component making it smell somewhat like a good IPA. It pours a dark, somewhat hazy, warm mahogany with a fairly thick off-white head. Spicy, malty flavor has a decided hoppy undertone and is a little sweet and a little bitter. Texture is fizzy and zingy, yet smooth and slick. Happy whatever-you-celebrate-this-time-of-year!

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount into my NBB globe glass. Deep amber and slightly hazy with a nice off-white head. The nose is toasted malts, nutty, caramel, light roast, bitter hops and a touch of spice. Similar flavor, pretty mild and easy to drink, not a ton going on. Average body with a creamy feel, soft carbonation and crisp, clean, light bitter finish.

15 DEC 07, Southeast YeHa. 12oz bottle. Medium brown. Smells like cherries, or maybe some nice mince meat pie. Light bodied, sweet malts. Somewhat balanced.

From a 12 oz bottle this beer had a coca cola brown color with a fat head that settled to a soapy scum on top with lots of lacing on the side of the glass. The nose it the aroma of malts. Medium body and mouthfeel. The flavor is mostly malts but there is some bitterness that continues over into a dry bitter finish. Good winter seasonal.

Bottle. Pours a hazy reddish brown color with a moderate tan head on there. Some hay and subtle toffee notes are coming through for me. Taste is lighter than I expected, with some toasty malts being most salient, and a mildly bitter finish. Not too bad.

Bottle... Poured a deep ruby with a big head, good lacing as it faded. Lots of malt on the nose, normally I don’t like a lot of malt in the aroma, but this has a nice leafy presence added to it. Really foamy feel in the mouth, very full flavor, ranging from caramelized malt to nutty characteristics to a litttle bit of hops.

Dark maple brown color, small head. Very fruity aroma. Flavor is malty and molasses. Small bite, small carbonation. Smewhat tasty. The palate is a little bland and the texture is slightly rough.
