COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true Winter Warmer made in homage of the season: Full-bodied and rich, deep amber in color, crowned with a creamy head, and finished with a mild bitter flush.

Slightly cloudy dark amber under a creamy head that unfortunately doesnít last too long. Smells like a winter English Strong Ale. Some burnt toffee and a mild tone of oak are on the nose, with some odd herbal bitterness. Taste is a little too bitter and herbal, with not enough sweetness to back it up. There is some sweetness present, but it tastes a little burnt and woody. Perhaps a little metallic as well.

Great bottle. It makes the beer look enticing. The taste, however, is fairly basic for this style. Light, but nothing beyond the ordinary.

In the bottle from Wilburís. Pours a chestnut color with a beige head. Aroma is a bit roasted and a bit chocolate, but the dominant smell is a decent bolus of finishing hops, perhaps Cascade? The flavor is fairly boring to me. I see this beer as being closer to a porter than to a strong ale. Mid-malted, roasted and chocolate flavors match the aroma, but only a whimper of hops at the end. OK, but not great.

Aroma is mint, light pine and fruit. The flavor is caramel, complex fruit, spices, a small hint of vegetables and a tart and dry finish.

GABF 05. The lady who served this to me was a hottie. Meeeeooooow! Pours brown with little head and an aroma of spicy malt. A nice malt flavor with a sour finish. Coating palate. Nice brew from a nice brewery.

Dark brown in color and cloudy with an average size head. Hop aromas with slight caramel hints. Hop flavors dominate. Not the best as a winter warmer.

Blood red with an alcoholic nose. Crisp -- maybe over-carbonated -- mouthfeel with a chewy, cherry-bitterness in the finish. Slightly bitter and spicy; malts arenít very pronounced. Needs more...

1st Beer of 07-08 Road Trip with BikesandBeer. Had at Horsebrass Pub in Portland. Pours dark brownish amber with a half finger tan head. Nose is sweet malty and light. Taste was sweet, malty, rich and essentially a pretty nice brew.

Amber color with a lasting off-white head out of the bottle. Full mouthfeel. Brown sugar sweetness with a faint cinnimon spice and noticable alcohol. Tastey winter seasonal.
