COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abounds with Imported English Goldings hops at a weight of one pound per barrel. It has the assertiveness, aroma and unbanished flavor beer used to have before the cost-cutters started.

Pours yellowish orange with a thin beige head. Aroma is musty malt, and a bit of earthy hop. Flavor is earthy hops and malt, a bit of breadiness, and a bit of fruitiness.

Hazy amber with a quick head. Earthy malt aroma. Caramel malt flavors with a nice hop bitterness in the end. Sweet yet well balanced. Finishes dry with some lingering bitterness.

Cask at the Bridgeport Brewery. Faint aroma of dark fruit and caramel malt. Tart flavor, with cherry and light hops, mostly bittering hops. Cask version was rather dead. Here again, the keg version was much better, but this is the one that got rated.

6 pack from the local grocery. Pours a clear copper color with an inch of pure white foam. Aroma of biscuit and caramel malts, some light citrus fruit and some earthy hop bite. Flavor is a nice blend of flavorful malts and citrus/earth hops. One of the better ESBs I’ve had, especially at a pretty low price point.

Thin head on a copper pour. Well balanced malt and hops. Medium mouthfeel and a nice lingering, but not overwhelming bitterness.

12 ounce bottle - $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a lightly hazed, mahogany-hued body with a full inch of off-white head. Smell: Sufficient ESB nose with notes of caramel and softly toasted biscuit-like malts with some hints of fruit, including citrus, as well as some spicy, zesty English hops. Taste: Biscuity malts with a slightly caramel-coated sweetness to it. Small hint of lemony citrus fruitiness as well as a few select drops of apricot juice. Largely spicy hops with a zip of clean bitterness. Undertones of grains come through on the back end. Drying, spicy, lightly citrus-laden finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A solid, smooth, easy-drinking, fairly enjoyable ESB from BridgePort.

Pours light copper with a thin head. Aroma is dusty malt, biscuity caramel and apple fruitiness. Flavour is biscuity malt and caramel sweetness well balanced by a subtle low bitterness that builds in a fizzy finish.. . A hint of fruit like alc left in the aftertaste.

Cloudy copper pour, low head, some lacing. Bittersweet musty smell. Thick somewhat fizzy, sweey and hoppy, tastes like an IPA. Some raisins/dates, a fizzy alcoholic brew. Sort of strange musty flavor, reminds me of rotting fruit? Not as bad as that sounds.
