COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abounds with Imported English Goldings hops at a weight of one pound per barrel. It has the assertiveness, aroma and unbanished flavor beer used to have before the cost-cutters started.

Tastey beer! Pours a clear amber colour with a small white head. toasty, a hint of smoke and delightfully bitter. Not overly acidic, balanced citrus fruit flavors.

Copper color, mostly clear except for a few bubbles. 2 inch foamy head that lasts a whle. Smells like dirty, slightly sour, pale malt. Flavor of pale, bland slightly bitter malt with a little bit of a doughy taste. Rich texture, almost creamy. Clumpy lacing. Ful body, full flavor and full finish.

Pours a very nice brilliant amber color with a medium sized foamy white head. Nose is caramel and bitter malts with some floral hops. Taste is mild and bitter somewhat watery and alcohol is well hidden at 6.1 percent. Very average on every level but a well crafted beer.

Pours a perfectly cloudy amber, with just a touch of ivory head. Aroma is light with a touch of citrus. Flavor is perfectly bitter, and the Goldings come through like a proper ESB should. Its a shame more American ESBs don’t use the Goldings like Bridgeport does. Palate is a thin (in accordance with the style), but a bit fizzy and dry. Overall one of my favorite ESBs. Well done Bridgeport.

Bottle. Nice dark yellow/orange coloring. Kind of muggy. Not much of a head or lacing to speak of. Goes the same for aroma, you really have to look for this one, maybe a little bit of hops. Pretty smooth going down, nice citrus and a bit of honey, with a touch of malt. Not really bitter at all. Would recommend this beer as a sessioner.

Not much head to this one. Poured out of a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Cloudy orange color. What lacing you can create on your own sticks well. Nice aroma. Sweet and earthy. Palate is semi-thick and smooth, goes down well. Not as bitter as I was expecting. A good, solid, whole and tasty bodied beer. Light, yep, light bittered and sweet, but not overdone. This was a good buy.

Honey and pine on the nose. Amber color, small head. Mild sweetness, with subtle hops, REALLY well-balanced. Nice carbonation, full mouth feel, with a nice biscuit finish. Really nicely put together beer.

Pours a handsome copper color with minimal head. More carbonation than it’s English brothers. Has a slight floral and toasted malt aroma. Flavor is less forward than many of this type. Sweet roasted malts with nice hop bitterness, dry finish. One of my favorite Northwest ESB’s. Someday I will do a side-by-side with the Deschutes version. Am looking forward to trying this on tap in Portland.
