A hazy orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with a good hop presence and a light fruit presence. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of toffee, but also light notes of barn yard and fruit.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy amber body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of biscuits, apple, caramel, and apricot. Flavor of malt, caramel, and mild hops.

On tap at Bridgeport, Portland. Amber colour with lasting off white head. Perfumed aroma. Slightly spicey. Bit empty on the malt. Some toffee, bit like an ESB, but not really. OK

on tap-pours a thin off white head and amber color. Aroma is mild slightly sweet medium malt. Taste is mild slightly sweet medium malt, flat/metallic (English) hops, secondary bitterness. OK effervescence. Dead on for the English style. Occasional.

Cask at the brewpub at the brewery. Clean caramel aroma. Clear dark amber color. Off-white head that sticks around. Soft, luscious, fruity, malty with floral/fruity hop. The bitter balancing the malt does not seem to be pine or citrus. Fresh foral/fruity finish, hints of malt here at the end, mild bitter, and some possible citrus sour at the back of the mouth. Fantantastic.

A Mes rate:
Bottle at the Chrisfest. Dark golden, slightly hazy with just a slight off-white head. Citric, maybe orange aroma. Dry and hoppy with just a slight lick of malt. Lovely palate. Maybe a little boring but nice enough.

Pours a clear bronze with a frothy, lightly-lacing white head. Aroma has some mild pine and floral hoppy notes on top of toasty caramel malt. Starts with a subtle, dry earthy maltiness with a more bitter, sticky finish. Very true to style and enjoyable.
