Commercial Description:
A refreshing extra pale ale, Haymaker features a distinct blend of four malts and three varieties of hops that create a slightly complex ale with a light body and a crisp finish. Its alcohol by volume of 5.3% complements the low bitterness - 15 bittering units - and original gravity of 12.8 degrees Plato. Bright golden in color, it can best be described as "sunshine in a glass."

Pours golden with high carbonation and a small head. Aroma is dry, hoppy, vinous. Initial taste is bland malt, followed by moderate hop bitterness. Balanced sweetness. Mild fruitiness in the finish. Bridgeport continues to slide.

Bright golden-straw color with white head. Aroma is dominated by grassy hops with mild citrus and honey. Flavor is grass-forward, then the honey malt, a touch of flowers and light hop bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel was light with average carbonation and a slight finish This was very drinkable albeit lacking in complexity.

Pours a bright golden color with a thin bright white head. Smell is not much. A bit of citrus, some grassy hops. Taste is a little better than expected. Citrus notes hit first (lemon and orange, mostly). Follows with a little bit of sweet maltiness and a light touch of earthy hops. Feels good in the mouth on a hot day, like today. Light, crisp and refreshing. After working up some heat, I could see some session drinking done with a product like this. Easy to drink and quenches your thirst. Very good summertime beer.

I’ll take a blond over an extra pale (or at least one this meek) any day, no matter how hot it is out there. This one has barely enough hops or malt to distinguish it.

A citrus orange aroma. Looks okay. This beer is fairly citrusy and is easy-drinking but it isn’t particularly exciting and certainly not good enough to replace Sierra Nevada.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass a clear yellow with a decent one inch white head. Smell was faint hops, a little earthy. The taste was mild with a little citrus and more earthiness. The drinkability was outstanding as the ABV was low and the beer went down so smooth. Great session beer. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-18-2007 15:52:37

Pours a light gikd without much of the white head. Nice bready aroma, with some citric elements. Weak in flavor, very light, with not much malt or hops
