3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Indra (2473) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - JUN 24, 2012
22oz. bottle. Aroma of sweet, caramel malts, oak, herbal hop, tobacco and tinges of banana and dried leaves, some very light roast in the background. Hazy, iced tea-like amber-brown color, with a lasting, fine head. Flavor is sweet and lightly oaky, fruity and very gently bitter with suggestions of toffee, butterscotch, faint berry, nut and dried, leafy herb. Full, tangy palate with a medium body. I never would have pegged this as a Scotch Ale. More like an ESB.
