Brewed with three different malts and four hop varieties. Hop Czar will have a deep malt background with enthusiastic citrus and floral notes paired with uber hop bitterness. 7.5% OG 17.9 IBU 87

Pours a clear copper color with a white head. Aroma is caramel, fruity, orange, pear, and some floral notes. Flavor is toast, caramel, orange, pear, and a bitter floral finish.

Don’t go for it. Plenty of Imperial IPA’s out there. Doesn’t even weigh in that strong at a non-imperial 7.5%. Has a very thin lace with an aroma like gym socks and sour skittles. Pretty hue, but that’s about all I can compliment it for. Very thin mouthfeel and it attacks you with wrong flavors at wrong times. Smells bad, then tastes semi sweet and promising, then transfers into a tart and sour foul finish, leaving you quite unsatisfied.

Pours amber-copper with a frothy white head. Smells wonderful - sweet-bud-McSkunk hops, fresh and pine-appley, light pine/grass and sweet/light malt. Flavor is citrusy and bitter with a clean finish. A solid DIPA. Mine definitely wasn’t from an infected wart. Love those skank-a-dank hop cones.

$7.50 for a six pack of DIPA? - sweet! - well, I suppose it would be sweet if the beer were better, anyway - pours a completely clear copper color - faint ring of bubbles - smells and tastes kind of like a stronger version of a british ipa, rather than the american beast you expect it to be - the hops are dry, bitter, chalky, but not crisp and punchy like one wants from a DIPA - they even become a little soapy on the back end - this is supported by a bready malt base that fails to contribute much aside from a generic sweetness that doesn’t compliment the hops at all - some heat and peppery character on the tail end - I mean, I love most all hops, so it doesn’t taste terrible to me, but there isn’t a whole lot happening here.

Bottle from 5 points purchased the day they got their shipment in. The worst beer i’ve ever tried. Grossly infected. The whole 6 pack was. Not just unpleasant, but almost made me vomit. No hop presence. Metallic, gasoline, funk. How could something this fresh be soooo bad?

Bottle from Hop City. Pours copper with a small head. Aroma is rather hoppy, strong in the evergreen department. This is dry with a lot of complex PNW hops going on. The palate is medium and the finish is a bit sour. I feel this is more like a slightly bigger IPA than a IIPA. I could use a little more clarity, but that is nitpicking. Not a bad offering. I’d like to try their regular IPA.

Great tasting Imperial IPA, with a serious bite. A truly favorable beer that is complex in aroma, but overall a smooth tasty beer. Very enjoyable!

Surprised to have seen this at Green’s on Buford Highway. Dark copper color, with a head that fades away rather quickly. Looks decent, but nothing exceptional. Nice hop aroma blast to the face. A big citrus hop aroma. Not extremely pungent, but this has a nice and mellow hop aroma. There is a sweet malt aroma that is hitting my nostrils as well. The aroma is pungent, but it doesn’t have many dimensions to it, but still nice in my opinion. Nice distinct mellow bitterness that lingers for a little while, and it is not so intrusive to where you are wishing you had something a little less bitter. Now that I am thinking about it, I wish the hop profile developed a bit more. There is a nice citrus and orange juice taste, but it seems to disappear quickly. The malts are a little fucked. I get an almost buttery type of malt flavor in my mouth, but it is not too bad .The beer is nice and smooth. Definitely a nice texture.

Not what I was hoping for. As a big fan of Bridgeport’s IPA...I was hoping for something better. I’m a big fan of hop bombs and rarely if ever complain they’ve gone too far...but in this instance that may be the case. Aroma is huge with plenty of pineapple, citrus, grass, pine and stinky feet...strangely enough however, not in a bad way...the feet I mean. Taste pretty much falls right in line with the aroma...this is a big, over-the-top DIPA...the hops are jolting...problem for me is the finish, which lingers and is quite bitter, but not in a good way. Beer wasn’t a total loss as it was quite clean and crisp as well. With as many great beers as I have access to here in my town...probably wouldn’t pick this one up again.

12oz bottle. clear orange under a medium sized frothy white head. peachy, mandarin, juicy hop aroma. something kind of stinks in the aroma but not to extent that is ruins score. smooth. abv is well hidden. soft peachy flavors and a creamy palate. pretty darn good. a few minor flaws but mirrors a well known favorite from lagunitas.
