Holy cow this beer has a lot of bite to it. Not sure I could drink more than one of these. Very good though.

Mild copper color. Frothy 1inch white head settles to a film after a few minutes. Nectary hops in yhe aroma. Sweet and delicious, aromatic if you will? No, you won’t? Well, ok. Light malty beginning with a medium thick, ultra pleasant, mild and smooth floral hop taste. Kids, this beer is just downright way to easy to enjoy, so get you some for your cellar. This finish leaves you asking yourself, "why would i even go to work today when i can just stay home drinking this?"

Excellent Imperial...100 IBU’s but it tastes like 75. Easy drinking. Great floral hop aroma. Great head and lacing. Could be slightly better mouth feel. Like a normal Bridgeport IPA on steroids.

Great tasting Imperial IPA, with a serious bite. A truly favorable beer that is complex in aroma, but overall a smooth tasty beer. Very enjoyable!

UPDATED: DEC 19, 2008 22oz bottle brought back from Portland, OR. Thick, glowing orange brown color. Nice lasting quarter inch head. Seawater and hop aroma. The taste is full and delicious. Earthy hops and balanced maltiness perfectly balance themselves. Some hop syrup tastes, with a subdued dry, sandy mouthfeel. This is a World Class IIPA.

Pours a crystal clear brown with a small, dissipating white head. The aroma is strongly of hops and is very floral and almost sweet. The taste is very strong in the bitterness department with an alcohol after-kick. Medium-bodied and kinda slick with average mouth carbonation, Hop Czar finishes dry and bitter, as expected. Quite a good brew.

While not the hoppiest of imperial IPAs, it has a lot of variety when it comes to hops, some of which add to the bitterness, and some of which really add a fruity/citrusy sweetness to the beer.

By far my favorite Bridgeport beer, the Hop Czar is indeed king of IIPA’s in my opinion. They got it right, where many other "super hoppy" beers just seem to be trying to stuff any and all hops in for mere bragging rights, despite quality or taste. Hop Czar does it the right way.

Amber appearance with a slight white head. Aroma is strong hops. Flavor is much like the aroma, strong hops with a nice pine flavor. Overall, quite good, not overpowering but strong.
