Pours reddish amber with a decent head that disappears quickly. The nose on this one is different than most. I get the usual citrus, but also something like cantaloupe. Possibly like one rater below said "acetone." Wow. This one is astringent and full of resin with little malt backbone. It goes right to astringent bitter pucker, and seems pretty narrow for an Imperial in that regard. The alcohol is evident and can be felt within just a few sips. Reminds me of Victory Hop Wallop -- not balanced at all, but astringent and intensely bitter with evident alcohol. I like it quite a lot, but definitely not my favorite. And you wouldn’t want to down several of these in a row.

Bottle from beerboxer. Has a sweet start on front of mouth. Then goes into a piny taste. Has a slight bitter finish. Color is copper with an off white head.

Caramel-colored beer with a thick, bubbley white head. The lacing coats the side of glass. There is a slight Citrusy aroma with a floral nose that follows. I like any beer that has a Hoppy aroma. There is a medium bitterness to it. It has a piny finish which I am not a fan of because I got sick on gin when I was younger. It has a thin texture. Body is medium and carbonation is soft. Just because of the piny finish I was not a fan of this beer.

Poured into a pint glass. Transparent, amber with a short head. A deep citrus smell and nothing else. The taste is sharp and to the point. It is an Imperial IPA and drinks like one. Though it is not all "punch-you-in-the-face" hops. It is balanced nicely. Bubbly bubbles. Medium body. A good IPA. Not amazing but a very solid drink. Lovely.

Incredibly fruity smell. Quite pale in color. Flavorful, but not as bitter as the IBUs indicate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very nice IPA. Not as intense as I was expecting (like Racer 5), but chill, relaxed, and something to write home about.

On tap at the brewpub on Marshall St. in downtown Portland, OR. Dark orange pour with a thin off-white head. Aroma of pine, grass, and grapefruit rind; in other words very hop-forward. Pine and citrusy hops greet the tongue first but are followed by a clean biscuity malt finish that keeps the tongue from being overwhelmed by the bitterness. A good DIPA.

Bottle… Clear, bright orange ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aromatic scheme is dominated by an assortment of hops – floral, piney, resiny and dank. Full-bodied and velvety with airy carbonation. The flavor is heavily bitter. Try as they might, the sturdy biscuit malts and toasted barley cannot provide even a semblance of balance. These malts are doing 45 in a 70 mph zone. Lingering bitter finish. I’m not a hop-head, but if I were, this would be a regular. Quality stuff.

Bottle. Pours a dark copper color. Very good IPA. Very hoppy and bitter. Aroma and flavors of citrous, but the extreme hops overpowers anything else.
