COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This listing is for 2010 and later releases.

This year’s Hop Harvest features fresh Centennial hops from third-generation, family-owned Goschie Farms in Silverton, Ore. Newly named brewmaster Jeff Edgerton and family recently drove to the farm with a utility trailer and burlap bags, and brought back 400 pounds of fresh Centennial hops. Within an hour, crews cut open the sacks and hops were blended with the base beer that had been prepared in advance and cooled to prevent cooking off the natural citrus and floral notes of the hops. Almost two weeks later, brewers lightly filtered the beer and filled kegs and 22-oz bottles with this farm-fresh brew.

Bomber (minus foil) from Whole Foods in Sacramento. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is floral, citrus and light stone fruit. Near med body. Flavor is a bit earthy, but mostly floral, citrus and light stone fruit. It’s bitter. There’s enough flavor to overcome the garlic bean bacon spread I just had. It’s a very down to "earth" beer.

Poured from a bottle. Poured a hazy orange color with a moderate white head that diminished to a ring. Aroma of sweet hops and citrus. Initial hop bite leads into a moderate grapefruit finish. It has just the right amount of carbonation to bite the tongue a bit. Just a bit too one dimensional for my taste, with no real malt backbone to complement the hops

From a 22 oz bottle this pours a cloudy orange color with robust white head and good lacing. Nose is of citrus hops. Medium body. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is a mix of citrus hops with orange, lemon, and grapefruit. Good dry bitter finish. Nice.

22oz. bottle. Fresh, juicy and piney hop aroma, with notes of grapefruit, earthiness, lightly toasted malts and some floral tones in the background. Lightly hazy medium golden amber color, head is fine and lasting. Flavor is hop-forward, to be sure, with ample Centennial character throughout, showing plenty of grapefruit and lemon, with lighter suggestions of pine and wood, a fair amount of bitterness and some toasty, honeyish malt sweetness offering a counterpoint towards the finish. Clean and resinous on the palate, fairly dry with a moderate level of effervescence, body is medium. Pleasant and very drinkable.

Pours a bright cloudy orange with good white head and some sticky lacing. Smell is nice with bright citrus hop aromas. Taste is similar to other hoppy bridgeport ales, in that the hop profile is similar. There is citrus (orange, grapefruit, lemon zest) with a good malt backbone. My problem is that in the end you get a soapy or muddled maltiness that just doesn’t lend perfectly to a great wet hopped ale.

(On draught at Papago). Pours a clear golden color with off-white head. Active carbonation. Aroma is mango, grapefruit, pine. Taste is sweet with some nice tropical flavors and balanced bitterness. Medium bodied with an oily texture. Bitter finish. There is an off-flavor in there, but overall, this is a pretty enjoyable beer.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange copper with a small off white head with spotty lacing. The aroma is floral hops and bubblegum. Medium mouthfeel with a dry hop with grapefruit and grass with a light bitter finish. A good IPA from Bridgeport.
