COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This listing is for 2010 and later releases.

This yearís Hop Harvest features fresh Centennial hops from third-generation, family-owned Goschie Farms in Silverton, Ore. Newly named brewmaster Jeff Edgerton and family recently drove to the farm with a utility trailer and burlap bags, and brought back 400 pounds of fresh Centennial hops. Within an hour, crews cut open the sacks and hops were blended with the base beer that had been prepared in advance and cooled to prevent cooking off the natural citrus and floral notes of the hops. Almost two weeks later, brewers lightly filtered the beer and filled kegs and 22-oz bottles with this farm-fresh brew.

2011. Hazy tan. The aroma is earthy, minty hop. Similar character on the palate. Not at all bright. Malts are indistinct, relatively boring. Not bright? Howíd they do that?

Bomber (minus foil) from Whole Foods in Sacramento. Pours hazy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is floral, citrus and light stone fruit. Near med body. Flavor is a bit earthy, but mostly floral, citrus and light stone fruit. Itís bitter. Thereís enough flavor to overcome the garlic bean bacon spread I just had. Itís a very down to "earth" beer.

Bomber poured a clear gold with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of biscuit, earthiness, grassiness and light grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit and light grassiness with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Very pale straw coloured brew. The aroma is loaded with bright lemony/noble hops. A fairly assertive bitterness but with a lot of noble spiciness. Hopped to IPA levels it seems like with a lot of lingering bitterness. The beer also has a very lean malt component. A touch of pepper and a little bit of alcoholic heat as well. This seems to add to the perception of dryness though, so thatís good. Has a little bit of high gravity pale malt flavour which is tough to describe but has a slight honeyed character. A touch of acetaldehyde but itís pretty restrained. Nice brew really

amber. off-white head. average retention. doughy fresh-cut grass nose, oily, green, dank and sharp up front. medium body. quickly diminishing and drying finish buzzing acidity on the tongue afterward. resinous and sticky but mostly dry. much better than the atrocious 2009 batch, and may be their best yet.

Unlike more herbal fresh hop beers this one on draft tastes like orange juice. One dimensional and sweet but not terrible.

Bomber pours slightly hazy copper with gold hues and weak white head. The modest aroma offers up largely floral hops mixing with lesser amounts of spicy hops and earthy herbal shrubbery like hops. The carbonation enhanced taste is similar with bold floral hops creating both a flavor and increasing floral hop bitterness followed by a mild level of spicy hops. In the background are light notes of sugary malt sweetness. This is far too floral and sweet for my taste. Bigger floral or spicy bitterness would help the balance and improve the experience for me.

Bottle from City Beer. Pours cloudy amber with a disappearing off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor that is overwhelmed by dry hop bitterness. Not very balanced and a bit thin, but hopheads will probably like this one.

Bottle:   Orangish in color, slight haze, moderate to large frothy white head, nice lacing, light carbonation.   Barnish & musty hoppy nose, bright, some citrus and floral notes.   Has a fresh hop flavor, hoppy yet not overly bitter, light sweetness.   Has a musty/wet like flavor, a little hard to describe other than to say it seems fresh.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Not heavy, but smooth with a decent malt base.   Has a slight earthen/soily aspect towards the back, with some smooth hop flavors.   Good, but I donít know if its as good as the first version I had from Bridgeport.
