3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
At first I was unimpressed with this IPA. Nose and taste were muddy. I set the glass down and did some chores on my computer. A second sampling a few minutes later revealed a complexity in both the nose and the taste. Floral, citrus and grass combine nicely. Finish starts out earthy but brightens and sharpens after a few moments.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells of fresh grassy and floral hops with a bit of citrus and resin. Just a hint of caramel and toasty malt to suggest some balance. Light copper golden color, a tad hazy...probably chill haze..., quickly receding head with no retention. Medium+ bitterness and barely middle of the road toasty caramel malt to balance. Medium body, decent carbonation. BIG fresh hop attack with some astringency, malt support in the middle and a very long and dry finish with hops prevailing for sure. Ahhh fresh hops! Itís the most wonderful time of the year!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
amber. off-white head. average retention. doughy fresh-cut grass nose, oily, green, dank and sharp up front. medium body. quickly diminishing and drying finish buzzing acidity on the tongue afterward. resinous and sticky but mostly dry. much better than the atrocious 2009 batch, and may be their best yet.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy rich gold with fluffy small bubbled head and great retention. Aroma is toasted caramel, resin, grass, herbs and a hint of citrus. Taste is resiny caramel, piney, and a grassy hop finish. Body is medium, average carbonation, quick dry bitter finish. Overall, a decent fresh hop ale but not the best Iíve had

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice, hoppy somewhat sweet aroma. A little bitter, especially on the finish. Medium body with subtle carbonation. Would have liked a "hoppier" taste...doesnít really carry that flavor through from first scent.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice light hoppy aroma but the citrus taste is a bit over powering and think that it could have been a bit more balanced. Love the story that goes along with this brew.

On tap @ all stars. Overall good IPA, easy to drink. Light transparent brown. Good white creamy head that reduces but is more than just a ring. Moderate bitterness, decent citrus hops. 8.6 bd

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle with Carla. Pours a hazy gold/orange with white foam. Smells very citrusy of oranges. Tastes initially peppery, citrusy and resiny of fresh hops, but fades into cheap 2-row at the end.
