COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This listing is for 2010 and later releases.

This year’s Hop Harvest features fresh Centennial hops from third-generation, family-owned Goschie Farms in Silverton, Ore. Newly named brewmaster Jeff Edgerton and family recently drove to the farm with a utility trailer and burlap bags, and brought back 400 pounds of fresh Centennial hops. Within an hour, crews cut open the sacks and hops were blended with the base beer that had been prepared in advance and cooled to prevent cooking off the natural citrus and floral notes of the hops. Almost two weeks later, brewers lightly filtered the beer and filled kegs and 22-oz bottles with this farm-fresh brew.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Orange with a large white head. Aroma is full of flowers and pineapple. Flavor is very floral with some pineapple, biscuit and medium bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Tap at Haymarket. Very non-aggressive IPA - some floral hop but it’s far from bold. Decent enough but far from awesome.

undated 22oz bottle served in a New Glarus pint glass in April 2012. Pours with a medium, rather creamy looking bone-colored head. The beer itself is slightly hazy golden amber. Notable and rather chunky sediment remained in the bottle after the initial pour. Lots of sticky lacing on the glass. Smells hoppy with a lot of citrus and some floral, herbal and earthy elements. Presages a taste that will be both sweet and tart. Marred by a bit of dankness. Taste: more malt than is common for style, making for a more balanced mix of sweet malts and bitter hops. A hit of tangy hops and/or yeast towards finish, followed by an earthy and bitter (grapefruit) aftertaste from the hops. M: nicely carbonated; medium body; rather dry finish. O: this unfiltered Imp. IPA has a homebrew (not that that is a bad thing) look and taste, and a very fine mouthfeel.

Draught @ BeerTemple. Pours very pale yellow and looks almost like a witbier. Quickly fading white head. Lightly sour, soapy nose. Taste is not what I expected: again hard candy sweet and sour. Can’t taste the hop. Reminds me of Hoegaarden, which is not good...

Very pale straw coloured brew. The aroma is loaded with bright lemony/noble hops. A fairly assertive bitterness but with a lot of noble spiciness. Hopped to IPA levels it seems like with a lot of lingering bitterness. The beer also has a very lean malt component. A touch of pepper and a little bit of alcoholic heat as well. This seems to add to the perception of dryness though, so that’s good. Has a little bit of high gravity pale malt flavour which is tough to describe but has a slight honeyed character. A touch of acetaldehyde but it’s pretty restrained. Nice brew really

Hop Harvest (2011) Sampled on 4/20/2012.This India Pale Ale pours medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy and hoppy. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are citrusy and herbal. Decent carbonation. Nicely balanced IPA, especially for a Pacific Northwest IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Not as hoppy as I would have liked, given "hop" is in the name, but wasn’t bad compared to all the beer I’ve had. It is a little less hoppy for a "hoppy" beer, but still pleasant to drink.
