3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 GuyCuba (26) - California, USA - MAR 11, 2010
A little cloudy, and a weak head. Smells hoppier than it tastes. Feels thin and fizzy, but has a good sharp flavor. Finish is a bit bitter, as it should be. A very good IPA ,excellent for hot weather. [12 oz bottle, BevMo]
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 CH47 (27) - Kansas, USA - MAR 9, 2010
Head dissapates quickly. Lacing does stick around but malt is not so strong. Aroma is light but on point. Pallate is light as well. Overall a decent IPA for the price
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 poisoneddwarf (882) - Rathdrum, Idaho, USA - MAR 4, 2010
12 oz bottle into shaker. Nice lemony citrus aroma (I’m used to grapefruit more with this style, which is also present, but not as forward as the lemon); pine (spruce?) is prominent. Smells like a Christmas tree; clean. Pours hazy orangish gold with minimal head that leaves a nice collar of foam and decent lacing. Some floaties in here (expired? I don’t know, but it doesn’t taste so.). Taste is nice, if a bit standard. Not overly bitter--just a tinge. It’s fruity and floral--the hallmarks of this style. Tangy aftertaste lingers on the tongue. Carbonation is medium-high. Overall, a very nice IPA, yet it pushes no boundaries. Sometimes it’s nice to have these straightforward styles in this era of big experimental brews, though.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dogbrick (4531) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 10, 2010
Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a hazy yellow-orange color with a thin off-white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is citrus and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of hops, orange peel and light malt. The finish is citrusy with a hoppy aftertaste. Barely above average overall.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 asedzie (520) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 2, 2010
UPDATED: JUL 9, 2010 Bottle. Pours golden with thin white head. Light orange zest-like hops and mild floral notes in the nose, some very light cascade-like earthiness as well. Flavor has very mild graininess, nicely contrasted by bright, fruity, lightly bitter hop notes. Finish has lingering light resiny bitterness. Simple, well-constructed and very good. For the past two months, my current favorite "everyday" beer. Just the right amount of spiciness in the malt and the complexity added by bottle conditioning make this feel like a homegrown Belgian - a real piece of subtle brewing craftsmanship- and it doesn’t even try to be one. That is the beauty part.

Bottle thanks to Del I think, I’m not sure. Anyway, pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A sweet musty hop aroma, light yeast. The flavor is similar; dry malt, citrus and floral hops, drinkable and pretty nice.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MmmcKay (841) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - JAN 30, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 11, 2010 Yellow, orange gold in color. No head hardly at all for my tasting pour. Notes of mild dish soap, tangerine, orange, sweet citrus. Nice nose. Very clean, but not detergent. Just shy of being too much. Unique. Really liked this beer. I don’t say that very much anymore about IPAs. This was a pleasant surprise.

12 oz. bottle, pours golden yellow. Subtle bread and hops on the nose. Flavour is hops, biscuit and some floral notes. Decent IPA.
