Kind of can’t believe I haven’t rated this before -- it’s really an old standard. Second in line behind the Lagunitas IPA as my favorite sold in sixers. Pours a cloudy orange-amber, with a smallish off-white head. Fresh citrus zest, mandarin and lemon, on the nose. Nice and crisp, with just a touch of very pale malts backing. Great mouthfeel -- just the right amount of bubbles to keep it clean, and a really fresh, crisp hoppiness that fades into the balance everyone looks for in a good IPA. This is a great example of the style, and one I’ll come back to again and again... leaps and bounds beyond anything else Bridgeport brews.
