3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 daleharshman (664) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 9, 2011
12 ounce bottle purchased at Sun Devil Liquors in Phoenix, AZ. Pours a very hazy golden orange hue with one finger of white foam. Aroma of musty yeast with some mellow fruity hops notes (lemon, apricot). Balanced flavor of more mellow hops (citrus, soap) with a light caramel maltiness...neither too bitter nor too sweet. Okay, but not a lot of character here. (747, 545)
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 adnielsen (3108) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 3, 2011
Bottle @ home. A touch hazy, light yellow-orange appearance with a big creamy, foamy, off white head. Medium pine/spruce, resiny hoppy nose. Mildly citrusy, medium piney/earthy/resiny hoppy flavor with a good pale malty backbone. Nice piney hoppy aftertaste.

22oz bottle 4/28/11 (Binny’s Downers Grove)-40° in Shaker-Pours a hazy goldenish orange with a small white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, hay, and grass. Taste of grapefruit, malt, hops, and citrus. This medium to full bodied brew is well balanced and easy to drink. Nice job.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Nickls (1297) - SE DC, Washington DC, USA - APR 25, 2011
Tap. Hazy lighter orange-yellow; thin white head. No real lacing. Nice balance in the aroma, grapefruit and a touch of caramel. Balance continues with the flavor, but enjoyable. Hoppier, but restrained grapefruit and slight dankness but with substantial maltiness. Nicely bitter finish, medium body and soft carbonation.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BillKismet (2653) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 31, 2011
Rich bronze body with poofy white head. Complex hop aroma with Chinook prick, Crystal funk, and Ahatnum complexities as well as a touch of uric. The Goldings actually dominate the flavor, endowing the body with an Earthy English hop component. Moderately hoppy throughout with earthy and herbal notes.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 thetmaxx (383) - West Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 28, 2011
Poured into a snifter style glass from the 12oz bottle. Colour is a hazy light golden colour with thin white head and decent lacing. Aroma is great, really leads you on to believe this will be a fantastic Ipa. However flavour comes up short, very watery, with minimal bitterness. Very malty, but balanced with hoppy. I’m torn on this one, I guess I can settle on a flavourful IPA, good balance. It’s getting better as I go, if your usually impartial to IPA, this will be a good one. If your buddies can’t usually handle hoppy beer, this is a good beer to choose. If you want a nice refreshing beer for summer that still has flavour, choose this. I know I will.
