3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 lagermonkey (725) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JUL 26, 2006
Pours a hazy pale gold. Surprisingly pale gold. Dense two-finger cream-colored head, sheets of lace. Smells of herbal and citrus hops with a faint aroma of pale malt.
Lightly fruity and grassy malt. Followed by a finih of pleasantly biting herbal hops. Crisp mouth. A bit light for the style. A strident low-level bitterness that builds throughout. Good stuff, good session beer.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drainey (233) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 24, 2006
On tap. Regular session IPA. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t seek it out again. Seemed a little light on hop and citrus flavor.

Bottle. Sour peach/orange rind and hops aroma. Cloudy orange yellow color with moderate head. Peach malt flavor initially followed by pine/citrus with moderate hops finish - well balanced but just a bit light. Very good.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 greenhorn1 (570) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - JUL 16, 2006
This is one of my favorite, regular ol’, IPA’s during the summer. Doesn’t have a big hop punch that I like, but it does the job. Pours a nice clear golden with a nice head and tons of lacing. I can smell and taste the citrus, pine and bitterness of the hops, which goes does very clean. It does not have the lingering bitterness of some the bigger IPA’s, but still a great NW IPA.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 cazort (456) - Newark, Delaware, USA - JUL 16, 2006
On tap. I’ve had much more bitter IPA’s, but there is a lot of hops, and the quality of the hops is pretty decent. There are a lot of different things going on in the hops, and it’s hard to describe them, fairly complex. There is a little bit of complexity to the malt too, although it takes the background. This wasn’t anything earth shattering but I thought it was pretty good.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 OhioDad (2491) - Hilliard, Ohio, USA - JUL 13, 2006
12oz bottle via trade with Bück Dich - Thanks Jordan! - Pours golden with a short offwhite head that fades back to a ring and laces some on the shaker. Aromas of light grains and grassy and floral hops. Flavor is a smooth balance of grains, caramel malts, and grass, and even a bit of orange and floral hops. Palate is crisp and clean. Not over the top but just right for a nice balanced IPA. Nice
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beaver (874) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUL 7, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours a glowing golden with lots of tiny yeasties. The head is a large frothy white that retains and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is slightly sweet, earthy malts and very grassy, almost metallic, hops.
The flavor is sweet bready malts leading to a subdued english hop finish. There are some metallic, slightly skunky notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth with a good amount of carbonation - slightly sharp.
Overall, a good English IPA. I prefer the over the top American style, but this is a nice change of pace.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 vyvvy (2798) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - JUN 28, 2006
Pours hazy orange with medium sized off-white head that has nice lacing. Lots of grapefruit hops on the nose with bits of spruce. The citrus aspects have a bit of orange essence. Body is a bit more full than most IPAs. Carbonation is semi-soft. Starts with a bit of malt and citric hops. The finish is very dry all hops, citrus and pine mainly. Very enjoyable IPA.
