Deep golden in color, BridgePort IPA has an assertive and fragrant hop character from the two full pounds of Cascade, Chinook, Goldings, Crystal and Ahtanum hops in every barrel.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2003 ReRate-Tap-Billy's longbar-Albuquerque, NM Much better on tap than the old bottle i had. Pale orange color-big bubble carbonation. Citrus aroma with green apples-slightly sour. It was hoppy, but not over the top left coast style ipa. Ipa light? Lots of green apple though in the aroma and flavor.

I may have gotten a bad one, but mine was lacking in hops in both aroma and taste

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2006 Bottle... The aroma is all about the hops. Sure, itís malty (biscuit), but notes of juniper, black pepper and earth reign supreme. This ale is lightly hazy and golden in color. It has a small, fizzy, white head. Mostly diminishing. Heavy malt flavor up front. Moderately bitter on the backside with bursts of spruce, wood and clover. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. The carbonation is somewhere between lively and fizzy. Medium-length, lightly bitter, dry finish. Nice IPA.

Grapefruity - Piney hop flavor balanced with a little malty sweetness. A great beer for swilling or with a meal.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 mango peel with moldy biological growings settling unsemetrically clumpy...mango juice joined with subtle pineapple and orange bombarding the nose...mango infested hop rootings stinging my senses...fizziness getting in the way...which is seldom experienced here...mango peels dancing like wind-confused leaves...cold, dry and staccato

Autumn-golden, slightly hazy due to bottle conditioning, moderately carbonated. Citrusy hop aroma, lemon rind, and lightly floral. Light bodied, citric bitterness, undercut by a touch of sweetness. Well balanced, and quite good.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2003 great frothy white head. excellent carbonation. Nice and hoppy all around, jost as one could expect I suppose. some undertones of malty sweetness creep through, especially at the end. Turns smoother and sweeter as it goes down

UPDATED: APR 29, 2010 Nice-looking beer, and I like its smooth and natural carbonation. A subtle yeasty flavor (white cake and bread dough) blends well with nips of yeast esters (lemongrass). Blend of hops exudes notes of flowers and citrus, followed by a snappy-bitter finish that isnít too strong. 5.5 ABV cuts well through the beerís earthy wholesomeness, giving it some depth. Pleasant IPA. Easy to find and relatively inexpensive, too.

I gotta agree with Kyrz on this one. Itís an excellent IPA, it has both an aroma and strong taste of citrus. Thanks kyzr for sending this one my way - it made my day.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2003 re-rate: After a few more of these, I still find it a great beer, but I was young and needed time to think more about my score. I sometimes forget how damn good this beer is. The citrus that hits you is beyond heaven. With the finish as bitter pure joy. Great looking beer in a glass, with a great head that will last! A must try.
