Light golden colour. Hop balanced; earthy, piney flavours to start, grapefruit to finish.

3.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Everyone should drink this beer. It is the most British IPA made in the Northwest. Malty yet lightbodied. Teriffic nose and brassy hue.
Great Firkin Beer!

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very good hop flavor, but the body of this beer drags it down. It is way to flat for the style, and more than a little watery. Donít get me wrong - I like it, but it didnít blow my skirt up.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 27, 2003 On the pour a somewhat hazy golden amber color, the head is portly in size, spumous in texture, the color a winsome light tan and as it evaporates, it leaves a fine covering sheet of lace to conceal the glass. The wondrous aroma of hops, greets the senses first, followed by a sugary sweetness, and the malt underpins it all, also crisp and fresh, quite appealing. Malt mostly at the start, ambrosial, the top middling in its feel to the palate, with a biting acidity joined by the fantastic hop spicy bite, the aftertaste dry and long lasting, a great representative to the IPA style, absolutely delicious.

Very enjoyable IPA, leaves its mark on your tongue with its bitterness. Excellent bottle-conditioned brew, a must try for hop heads.
