4th August 2009 Cask at GBBF. Slightly hazy gold beer. Hops are light and a little grassy. However overall this comes over as a little water. Possibly suffered a bit in transit.

Bottle. Pours hazy copper amber with a foamy off-white head and small floating particles. Creamy lined lacing with a rocky film. Floral hop and citrus rind aroma with hints of orange and light yeast (dough) and average malt character (hay, straw and meal). Hoppy (orange rind) flavor with grapefruit and pine notes (spicy). Light roasted cereal malt body. Flavor has an average durantion and is moderately acidic and heavily bitter. Medium astringent and dry palate.

Thanks to Buck Dich for this. Pours turbid dark straw with medium white head. Aroma of malt, hops, huge fruit (watermelon, honeydew, canteloupe), grapefruit, slight urethane. Tastes malty, extremely grapefruity and melony, with some hops to back up the finish. Smooth, citrusy, fruity, and remarkable! Get ya some!
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Rastacouere (5920) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 14, 2005
Hazy golden hue wears a sticky irregular white head. Mysteriously mellow aroma, highly subdued for a pacific northwest classic. Hops come out salty, earthy and sweaty, centennial perhaps. At the same time, an oldish yeast residue give it a cheesy note that I’m not quite comfortable with. This might not be the best bottle on the market I fear. The citrus I expected is so light that I’d barely call it a hint. Phosphoric suggestions clear the case. Highly subdued in mouth as well. It joyously displays an expanding carbonation amongst an honest medium body, but feels globally watery, dry and salty. Rather than furnishing hop flavours, it handles the tongue hop bitterness. Disappointing.

Bottled. Poured a slightly-hazy medium golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma was very enjoyable.. soft bready sweetness surrounded by pine and grapefruity hoppage.. came across as very well-blended. Sweet caramel and bready notes at the flavor’s core with moderate grapefruit, orange, and piney bitterness surrounding.. somewhat mild for an IPA and very well executed. Medium-bodied or a hair less with a pleasant lingering pine and citrus bitterness at the finish. Enjoyed it!

Cask@Bridgeport. This was amazing on cask. Loads of bitter hops. English style, rather than US (well maybe not totally, but it leaned more towards the English style). Some lychee and citric rindy bitterness, bready and dry, and quite bitter, amazing cask character, good length, extremely tasty.
