this is a very mysterious beer. I like the flavor, the aroma, the palate, but for some reason this beer seems to give me a headache. Maybe it’s just a fluke. I do like the beer. Perhaps it’s the yeast in the bottle that causes headaches. It may just be coincidence.

Really nice solid IPA... not too big, not too small... just a nice smooth craft beer that is really well-built. I will recommend this to friends.

Pours cloudy with a nice lace clinging to the sides of the glass. The aroma is subtle but with very nice hop flavors. The body has nice hint of citrus with a shot of grapefruit hitting you at the end. Overall, a very nicely balanced drink. Well done indeed.

Not as hoppy as I would like for a IPA. It is still a nice beer with a smooth after taste. I wish it was more hoppy. It has a heavy carbonation...must use Praxair. Overall it is a drinkable beer. I would be happier if it was hoppier. After drinking one was not looking forward to drinking two

This is a long time favorite of mine. I used to go to the BridgePort brewery for pizza and beer when I lived in the Portland area back in the early 90s. Usually priced less than competing brands at the supermarket, this beer is a bargain given its superior quality.

One of the first IPA’s I’ve had and one of the best so far. It’s everything an IPA should be. Great nose and great color. Tried this as a 6 oz. sample at a small bar in Boise, Idaho. You get to choose 8 samples to get on a tray and this is the one the really made me smile. I kept going back to it and it really stood out. I could drink it any time.

Some cereal malt aroma with floral/citrus hop. Appearance golden with some murkiness/haze. Decent bitterness nearly sour. Medium palate with long finish. Overlap not a bad IPA, but not Portland’s best, by far.

This is ALWAYS in our refrigerator and i could take it for granted after all these years. We make a hobby of tasting IPAs and BridgePort is our standard of excellence.

Best IPA I have ever encountered. IPAs typically overpower with hops, more like fermented hops juice than beer. This one has very strong hops flavors and smells without being only hops. If I am feeling like an IPA, this is the one I get.
