Serving: from bottle--purchased at Costco. Aroma: light floral hops with a hint of pine. Appearance: average-sized, rocky, off-white initial head with good lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Hazy, dark-yellow body. Taste: lightly bitter initial flavor and lightly bitter finish with hint of grapefruit. Average duration. Palate: light-to-medium body, dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall: very good. Easy to drink.

One of my favorite ipas...not too high in alcohol content but it is one of the originals.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Cloudy orange. Thin, lasting, glossy, off white head. Orange hop. Orange pith. Mineral. Juicy Fruit gum. Drinks crisp, fruity, zesty bitter. Nice mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Some hop oil. Ends brisk, mineral, light bitter. Easy drinking.

(BridgePort IPA) Bottle 355 ml at home, thanks to vipinvelp, cheers Werner! Served into a tulip, ABV 5.5% Pours a golden orange coloured beer, a bit cloudy, with a good sized white head on top, thick and with very good retention. Medium lacing on the glass. Aroma is moderate hoppy, some faint floral notes too, sugar and oranges. Taste also of oranges, pine, lemon leaves, quite bitter. Medium thin body, carbonation on good levels, very dry. Okay I guess.

Opaque golden, white lacing foem head. Hoppy aroma, that is OK, but not so nice taste. Bitterness, but also some barnyard. (Houston 201501)

This beer was good and light on the ipa style. It was not so worried about the hops but the flavor to compliment these hops.

Bottle. Orange pour, with an off white head. Citrus, grassy, herbal, sweetness, and a bit bready. Meh.

Keg at the brewpub, downtown PDX, 09/11/14. Clear orange amber with a moderate off white covering that clears to edgeing. Nose is caramel malt, bitter hop linger, grapefruit. Taste comprises bitter orange, floral notes, grapefruit, pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok IPA.

Pours a hazy orange amber with a foamy off white head. Citrus and pine aroma that is orange dominated. Sweet caramel malt aromas that are hugely reflected in the flavour. A very pronounced malt profile, which is different to many of the dry IPA?s that I?ve had lately. Flavour is a balance of orange marmalade, toffee and stonefruit with some lingering hop bitterness. A little sweet for my taste, but that?s my personal taste. Medium carbed and full bodied. I would have again

Poured from bottle to glass. Hazy orange hue with thick fizzy white head that settled. Suspended particles. Aroma is straw, pine, lemon, peppercorn, yeast. Mouthfeel is decent with a medium light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry throughout with a spicy bitterness that extends through the finish. Overall this isnít a very good representation of an IPA. It tastes faintly like a hoppy saison. Perhaps this is just an off bottle that was exposed to Brett, but itís not very good. I canít find a date on the bottle. The only printing is on the base: 315 D-2 1515. Perhaps this was a bad batch.

"Light citrus (more orange than graperuit) on the nose with some pine. Medium-light bodied. A touch malt heavy, maybe due to age. The hops are there, but donít quite pop...though the finish is more than adequately bitter. OK."
