I’ve been avoiding rating this since so many bottle on the shelves . . . well just about everywhere store this wrong and it’s either difficult or impossible to tell how old it is until you open it. Well here’goes. 12oz bottle pours deep gold with copper hues and a bit of haze supporting a thin near white head. The modest aroma has spicy almost anise like hops mixing with some floral hops and faint malt sweetness. The taste is tame for an IPA with spicy and floral sort of seeming like noble hops that are both modestly bitter and modestly flavor. Behind the hops is a nearly clean mild sweet maltiness and almost a biscuit malt quality. Old school IPA that I do not plan to seek out again.

This IPA is lightish amber and cloudy with a tight white head. It smells of stone fruit and has a lovely citrus taste with a late bitter finish. I like this beer.

I first had this beer back in February, 2014. I had it again yesterday (4th of July, 2014), and I still have to agree with my initial rating. It has an okay taste, but compared to the Aussie IPA and Hop Czar that is is packaged with in the sample box, this one is the least interesting.

Pleasant citrus aroma hopping and faint caramel malt aroma. Appearance is straw copper and hazy with tiny off white head. Taste is citrus earthy floral aroma hopping. Light malt and hop bitterness are balanced. Palate is light and crisp. Overall a nice beer but almost a stretch to call it an IPA. More like a full Pale Ale.

Pours a cloudy gold with about a finger’s width of head, medium lacing. Smells citrusy and floral. Taste is full-bodied with nicely roasted, complex hop flavors. Overall a very refreshing IPA.

Pale orange amber. Good sized dense frothy white head. Medium body. Not overly bitter. Pretty smooth and drinkable. Good balance. Not exciting but otherwise pretty good.

Bottle - A little cat pee and citrus. Clear gold with a thin white head. Fresh light citrus and some cat pee again. Nice and refreshing.

Aroma of hops, some citrus. Nice golden amber, with a huge white head that lasts and laces nicely. Nice caramel sweetness from malt up front. Bitterness comes in just the right time. Finishes with richness from malt and balance of peppery bitterness that melds together nicely. Mouth feel is full, nicely carbonated, and finish is not overdone.
