UPDATED: JUL 17, 2005 Golden orange with a sticky edge. Orange-fruit aroma. Nice tart flavor with a tangy frame and a hint of yeast. Rerate on draft: thought it was kinda boring; downgraded.

Aroma - very floral, citrus, faint spiciness;
Appearance - deep golden, hazy, thick fluffy head, laces well;
Taste - balanced hop front, fruity tang blends in throughout the back, long sharply bitter finish;
Palate - slightly crisp, average body;
Overall - definitely good, a classic, though not the best.

4th August 2009 Cask at GBBF. Slightly hazy gold beer. Hops are light and a little grassy. However overall this comes over as a little water. Possibly suffered a bit in transit.

A nice easy drinking ipa. Not overly malty or hoppy. Clean mouth feel. Appearance is cloudy but still light. Over all a good beer for a warm day.

Not bad. Citrus, fruit, floral, pine, hops and malty notes, but a bit more malty then I like. Over a great IPA and very smooth and drinkable.

Poured from a draft into a pint glass at ABQ Pub in Albuquerque, N.M., on April 21. Color was hazy yellow gold. About a finger of head. Puffy, cloudy lacing on the top that lasted throughout the pour. Lots of wet, thick, spongy film on the sides.
Smelled citrus hops, pine, soap and lime.
Tasted as a better version of the smell. Got lime, pine and citrus hops. Smooth and easy drinking. A small amount of bitterness.
Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Smooth, balanced finish. Refreshing.
Good change of pace for an IPA. Lime and piny. Crisp, clean and refreshing.

Originally reviewed: 12/17/08. Had this on tap at the First St. Draught House here in town. Came out a murky light gold, thought it would be a little bit darker. Large foamy white head on top. Excellent lacing with perfect rings around the glass.
Smell was average with some citrus and pine hoppiness. Floral tones and a little sweet smelling. Pretty good taste. Definitive grapefruity-hop presence that was balanced pretty well by some malty sweetness. Good and crisp. Easily drinkable due to the smoothness, and the flavor. Recommend.
