BlackForestCO (653), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Apr 25, 2008 Bottle. Poured a clear golden-copper color with a moderate off-white head that fades to a layer but left some nice lacing. Aroma of citrus (light grapefruit, apricot, and orange) and some light earthy hops. Flavor is full of fruitiness, light caramel malt under some fruitiness on the entry lead into a moderately bitter hop hit with even more citrus fruit coming out, along with a light earthy hoppiness. Nice hop/citrus bite on the palate. Very citrusy IPA, pretty enjoyable.

Has a strong pronouced bitter taste, hard to enjoy due to stale aftertaste. Try Deschutes IPA instead. vulcanmeister (68), La Grande, Oregon, USA Dec 15, 2008 Hazey orange color.
