3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I first tried Bridgeport ales at their brewery in early 1993while on a business trip to Portland. I was impressed with the selection and the lively scene at the brewpub, and would love to go back some day. On to the review.
Pours a cloudy pale amber with a short head. Nose of citrus fruit, and a slightly herbaceous taste, with a hint of lemon. Refreshing, and moderate in alcohol. A fine IPA, although not as powerful as many others.

Bottle @ plane. Slightly hazed bright orange pour with a white head. Aromas of pine, candied orange, and grass. Quite spicy and floral. Some caramel and marmalade as well. Flavor is a touch on the sweet side. A bit of citric acidity and a sharp pine bitterness. Lots of flowers and grass. Sweet caramel, toast, and marmalade. Slight orange rind.

2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma very light almost non-existent. Taste not unpleasant but a bit unbalanced - bitterness mixed with straw pale ael type flavour. Indeed more a British style ipa. Drinkable for sure but not a top choice.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From QC. Hazy translucent orange-amber with thick bubbly white head. Smells of hops - floral, faint fruit, a bit of generic lager-y bitterness and corn. Tastes like a very English IPA - crisp and bitter but not much to it. Would be a pretty flavourful pale ale/lager but expect more from an IPA.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from QClub at home. Hazy orange-amber pour. Aroma is hoppy - a bit English-y in it's tart/sourness (Golding?). Taste is light. Again, more English IPA in flavor profile - crisp hops but without much depth. A bit sweet too. Pretty plain English flavored IPA. Not terrible but wouldn't get again.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This IPA is lightish amber and cloudy with a tight white head. It smells of stone fruit and has a lovely citrus taste with a late bitter finish. I like this beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
I first had this beer back in February, 2014. I had it again yesterday (4th of July, 2014), and I still have to agree with my initial rating. It has an okay taste, but compared to the Aussie IPA and Hop Czar that is is packaged with in the sample box, this one is the least interesting.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pleasant citrus aroma hopping and faint caramel malt aroma. Appearance is straw copper and hazy with tiny off white head. Taste is citrus earthy floral aroma hopping. Light malt and hop bitterness are balanced. Palate is light and crisp. Overall a nice beer but almost a stretch to call it an IPA. More like a full Pale Ale.

Pours a cloudy gold with about a finger’s width of head, medium lacing. Smells citrusy and floral. Taste is full-bodied with nicely roasted, complex hop flavors. Overall a very refreshing IPA.
