3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Picked this up Monday night at the COOP.
Poured into my Payette Black Friday mini goblet.. 1/2" white head dies quickly leaving no cap and no lacing... the brew is very clear amber.
Nose shows toasty malts and hints of caramel with some grassy/herbal hoppiness.
A little bitterness up front.. toasty malt essence in the middle with a lite caramel element... drier than I would have guessed by the nose... Hops mirror the aroma but are certainly balanced, surprisingly so, given the "triple hopped" moniker :-)
The body is lite/medium with good carbonation.
Nice beer... I should give Bridgeport more attention.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz. bottle from Wilbur’s. Appearance: Three fingers light oatmeal-brown head, amber red color, clear, head diminishes moderately slow, good lacing. Aroma: light caramel, light floral, light skunky. Palate: Medium body, average carbonation, decent bitter finish, sticky texture. Taste: caramel sweetness really shines through, with bitterness quietly building and taking over. Overall, aroma throws me off, but tastes are there and so is the palate.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
pours a copper color that had a lot of smoke and a thick white head. the aroma is malts, bready, and floral hops. the flavor is more of the same. there is quite a big hop kick up front but its not overpowering. in the taste you pick up some citrus and pine. very good beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep red/orange in colour with a thin head and strong floral hops aroma. Definitely tastes like a red ale and a good one too.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pretty good beer but not that memorable. Kinda reminded me of a red ale more than a strong ale. My friend brought it over yo cheer me up after my grandma passed so I like it more because of that.

Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Manzanita pint glass
From: BevMo in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $14.99 for a BevMo variety 8-pack (w/ BevMo card)
Purchased: Dec. 31, 2013
Consumed: Jan. 9, 2014
Poured a light brown semi-hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki head. Looked a bit like a cool glass of iced tea. Above average and sporadic, but layered foamy lacing. Above average retention on the way down.
Smelled that 7.50 percent ABV right away. Got caramel, toffee, rye hops, Irish cream, faint bourbon and some earthy, dirty hops.
Tasted pretty much what I thought was going to taste like. Got a healthy dose of bitter rye hops, iced tea, Irish cream and grassy, earthy hops. Also some roasted nutty malts.
Medium-to-full body. Creamy-to-sticky texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish.
Not a big fan of this beer. The smell was the best part, but it went down from there.

Bottle pours a dense dark red color with fine-bubble white head. Hoppy aroma and flavor. Medium body with coarse texture mouthfeel. Big hop flavor balance. Very filling hoppy ale. OKAY.
