KINGPIN is a full-flavored, red-colored ale that uses a rarely-grown Willamette Valley Hop varietal known as Liberty Hops from fourth generation hop farmer John Annen of Annen Bros. Farm in Silverton, Oregon. Jeff and his team of brewers also used rye and caramel malt leading to a unique flavor profile; triple-hopped for bitter aroma and a unique dry-hopped character.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear amber with a rough, off-white head. Caramel and perfumy hops in the nose. Quite full-bodied, plenty of caramel and a fine and slightly herbal hoppiness while the finish is intensely bitter. Quite delicious. 220611

Bottle pours a hazy copper/red with atiny off white head. Scent is fruits, caramel and earthy. Taste is sweet with an earthy bitter finish. Want to like it, but there are notes in the taste that I don’t care for...hard to describe,

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of fruits, malt, caramel, and English hops? The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, caramel, and spicy hops, leading to a bitter finish.

12 oz bottle pours and amber/red color with a nice tan head. Aromas of malt, light floral. Medium mouthfeel, but the flavors don’t mix as well asi they could. A little disappointing

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a medium creamy beige head that lasts awhile that leaves sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a bready malt with caramel and raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a rye malt and light hoppy finish. Hides the alcohol well, a good American strong ale from Bridgeport.

On tap with Jeff at Bridgeport. Pours red with off-white foam. Smells sweet. Tastes sweet with a light caramel and enough bitterness to keep me interested. Seems like a sweet ESB. It’s one of the better double reds I’ve had (not that that says much...)

Deep garnet colored brew from the bottle with a thin light kahki head. The nose has lots of cotton candy along with some caramel. There is also a little bit of bubblegum and apples. The taste is dry apple core with old caramel. There is also some wood and glue in the finish. A little bit of plastic. Bleh.
